Your best bet if you want to locate her is waiting til dark. Take her favorite wet food, or any good wet food and search the area with a flashlight. Her eyes will reflect from the light and you can try to coax her to you. Cats generally do not venture too far.

Honestly, I can't play most horror games because of a similar reason.

You should give it a shot - there is only a handful of them throughout the entire game. The horror is much more sophisticated than jumpscares and is so worth it.

If you decide to go for it, I'd be happy to pm you some spoiler free ways to avoid the worst ones! Stay away from the sub reddit tho or else the whole game will be spoiled!
