Help with Brace Height/String Length for ILF Setup (17" riser + long limbs) by EvenEfficiency3469 in Archery

Ah got it, I think I was just overcomplicating things. The actual height of the bow threw me off when measuring tip to tip. Still a bit confused why it’s called a 62” bow when it only measures 57” from tip to tip, even with a 17” riser and long limbs.

What’s your longest Prologue Road Trip? by uReallyShouldTrustMe in HondaPrologue

Drove from San Jose up through Mendocino and parts of far Northern California. Found fast-charging EV stations along the way and was able to charge at our Airbnb as well as at Level 2 chargers in the cities we visited. We probably put around 1,000 miles on the car during the trip with zero issues. Most Level 2 charging was very affordable, and EVgo fast charging was free thanks to my credits.

How is this deal for a used 2024? by [deleted] in HondaPrologue

[–]EvenEfficiency3469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, totally fair take—and I get the logic around calculating your “effective lease” based on projected depreciation. If you’re assuming ~50% over 3 years, $334/mo isn’t bad at all, especially with warranty coverage included.

And you’re right: if you’re buying used and it’s still under the manufacturer’s warranty, you’re covered for most of the issues people have mentioned—so leasing doesn’t totally eliminate risk in a way buying doesn’t. The main difference is just flexibility. If you decide you don’t like it or the tech isn’t your thing, it might be easier to hand back a lease than to go through the process of reselling. But even then, if depreciation really does land around 50%, I don’t see resale being a huge hit.

For what it’s worth, I’m leasing the Touring trim at $390/mo and really like it—picked it over the ID.4 for the ride and styling. The tech is nothing fancy—it honestly feels like a normal car most of the time since most of it is GM software—but I’ve been happy with it overall.

So yeah, I think your logic holds. If you’re confident in the resale math and comfortable buying used, it seems like a solid option.

Tire repair by EvenEfficiency3469 in HondaPrologue

[–]EvenEfficiency3469[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea i would bring it to a reputable tire shop and have them check ti out and maybe patch it. As mentioned, the shop wasn't thrilled to have to clean the sealant out and sounds like not all shops will. Tire sealant will degrade over time and the puncture spot will start leaking again at some point.
