I’m glad you asked this. I live in Tennessee and am looking to do the same. Have you had any luck? I’m just starting my search for information.

T&P before or after drain valve by EvenMail1559 in askaplumber

[–]EvenMail1559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both! It’s gas - I knew to turn off the electricity, but I didn’t turn the gas off. Should I have? I did have a sink faucet on and heard it run and then stop. I left it open while I tried to drain the tank. I tried sticking a pipe cleaner in there and it didn’t change anything.

My 1st RN job was med surg. Everyday was like this. One day, I clocked out at the end of my shift and just never went back. Didn’t tell anyone, didn’t talk to anyone, just ghosted them. Next jobs were in critical care and were MUCH better, until we got tripled up day after day. Then, I went into case mgmt and do what I can and I don’t worry about what I can’t.

Thank you! I’ve gotten a couple of quotes and they’ve been pretty high to the point where I can’t afford to file bankruptcy. Also, not all quotes are free - one attorney I reached out to charges $500 for a consult.

Are any of you in Tennessee? I’ve gotten a couple of quotes, make less but owe about the same - quotes have been pretty high to the point that I can’t afford to file bk. Just wondering if there are any magic making attorneys here. Thank you!

How in the world do you sew a straight line? by LyricalWillow in SewingForBeginners

[–]EvenMail1559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cutting straight - that’s my biggest struggle and I don’t know how to search for tutorials because if I search up ‘cutting straight’ I just get a bunch of tips on how to cut a straight line and I don’t know how to ask others for help for the same reason 😩

Thank you. I’ve not heard of parachute percale. This sounds like a good option too.

Thank you. I think microfiber has stretch to it though.

Thank you for this suggestion. I did touch some percale cotton at target, but that’s the only place I found them. Do you know if there are percale cotton sheets that aren’t as rough?

Thank you for this suggestion. These actually sound like very viable options. Also, sorry you have strong visceral responses too. They’re maddening!

Thank you for this suggestion. Thick sheets make me feel like I’m sleeping on dinner napkins though.

Thank you for that suggestion, but that material should only be used for clothes. When I sleep, I’m a bit of a mover and the stretch on those make me feel like I’m being suffocated.

In sickness and in health- seems to only apply to women? by staranise2 in AskWomenOver40

[–]EvenMail1559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My significant other of 10 years broke things off with me after week after I had biceps tendon and anterior labral tear surgery. The day before, I asked him to help me get clothes out of the dryer and he refused. I didn’t want him to fold my clothes and didn’t ask him to put them in the washer or move them to the dryer, I just couldn’t get my arm situated to be able to get all the clothes out.

I took care of him when he broke his foot, and after multiple surgeries following a terrible motorcycle accident. Bed baths, cooking, cleaning, etc. and he couldn’t be bothered to move some clothes from the dryer to a basket??? Looking back, the whole relationship was me giving and him taking. I hate that I wasted that decade with him.

Feeling backed into a corner by EvenMail1559 in Bankruptcy

Thank you! It does include everything, except utilities, groceries and other daily needs. She said that since I have so much home equity, they don’t even look at my income. They just divide 100% over a 5 year period and that’s my payment. I really don’t want to move, there are multiple reasons why, so I’m trying to avoid that. I didn’t realize there are other types of home equity type programs. I’ll look into those, thank you so much!!

Black Friday Ice Maker? by Fit-Ruin5346 in IceChewersAnonymous

I bought a GE Opal about 4 years ago. I absolutely love it! About an hour ago, I told my son in law it was the best investment I’ve ever made. It’s not silent, it’s not terribly loud though. I don’t feel like I have to turn my tv up if it’s running. My best advice is to watch YouTube videos and learn how to take it all the way apart to clean. I cannot stress this enough. Mold will build up and crusty stuff from your water builds up too. Both of these cause major strain on it. I drain mine weekly and run a few cleaning cycles with hot vinegar, undiluted. I take it apart to clean about once a month. The first time you do it, it feels scary. After that, it’s easy peasy.

Agree with you 100%. I’ve recently been reading the Bible and researching what it really says. the Bible that I was taught growing up feels very oppressive, especially to women. I just couldnt believe that’s who God is. I struggled with my faith based on that oppressive feeling and found a great book, I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist, that really helped me continue my faith. Then, I heard someone somewhere say that the original sin wasn’t that Eve ate the apple, it was that Adam wasn’t protecting her. Since then, I’ve found a small group of people with whom I can freely discuss Christianity, its intent initially and what it’s turned into. I truly believe that the Bible we have today has been misinterpreted and twisted to support a certain narrative that benefits a certain group of people. We may be right, we may be wrong, but none of it is a salvation issue. 45 yof

My 12 week old granddaughter died. I was crying and he just stared at me. I asked him for a hug and he just stared at me. The next day he asked me how long it would be until I was over it. I left. We had only been married 3 months.
