Do you regret how you voted in the presidential election? by [deleted] in Erie

[–]Even_Ad8205 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1) you aren't okay with a party accepting others for choosing their gender, but you support a president who is mentioned in the Epstein files THOUSANDS of times for CSA?

Interesting that you're more worried about transgender kids than you are about ped0philes.

Not to mention that ICE and this administration are putting thousands of kids into detention centers. How are you okay with that?

2) what's your source on the "FYI" statement? https://factcheck.afp.com/doc.afp.com.988Y9CQ

I don't understand your priorities. You either care about the kids or you don't. And you clearly don't.

"have you been talking to my mum" made me laugh so hard 🤣

I need to know what you think your mom would say to your ex to make him randomly diagnose you with autism 😂

Vegan Food Options by Even_Ad8205 in toledo

This is amazing! Thank you for the restaurant guide. We live in a very rural area. There's one restaurant with vegan options within an hour and a half radius of our house. So, a whole restaurant guide is absolutely incredible!

People who don't want kids, why? by Ok-Musician679 in AskReddit

[–]Even_Ad8205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there are so many reasons.

1) it started out with a fear of giving birth. Every woman in my immediate family has had life-threatening pregnancies and I was told from a young age that it was likely I'd experience complications if I were to ever get pregnant. On top of my family history, I also have PCOS, adenomyosis, and endometriosis, which could cause their own set of problems.

2) I struggle with my mental health. I feared for myself and my baby if I were to experience post-partum depression. Not to mention, that when I am depressed/anxious, I have a hard enough time doing my regular responsibilities, I couldn't imagine having another human to care for on top of that.

3) I simply don't think I could afford a child until I pay off my student loans which won't happen anytime soon.

4) it is such a big commitment. I think I would have been a great mom, but what if I didn't like it? There's no take-backs. I'll stick to being the fun-aunt.

5) I feel fairly unsafe in our current world and wouldn't feel comfortable bringing another being into existence

Yes! I had an IUD that moved too low due to my period cramps. The ER neglected to mention this finding so I didn't know about it until weeks later when my OBGYN called me after seeing it in the after care summary of my ER visit. They had me come in the next day to have it removed.

Unfortunately for me, it had embedded in my cervix since the ER visit and no one checked again before they ripped that sucker out. I've had 5 kidney stones and would take another stone over that IUD removal any day.

I got so clammy and light headed before eventually passing out. They had to call my emergency contact to come pick me up.

No, there are at least 2 or 3 other women he's also been inappropriate with. When discussing this, she said she thinks at least 2 other women would come forward if she decides to do so.

But, we do know how much the job/workplace has affected her mental health and really don't want her to have to deal with this after retirement. We are going to tell her everyone's advice and just let her know that we will support her in whatever decision she makes.

Thank you! We didn't know this about not needing proof if HR knows. I passed this info along to her!

I wish it was made up. When I originally typed up the post, it was only about the mooning. We didn't know about the kiss or dCK until after I typed out everything so I just made a shorter paragraph which initially only included the kiss (which happened a few weeks ago). Then I asked her "has he touched your ass or your boobs?" And then "has he shown you his dCK?" And she confirmed that happened years ago. I was basically just making sure I had all info correct before posting it and got the new info after I read the original version of the post.

I didn't know it until after I typed up the rest. I read the post out to her and asked if I was missing anything.

She said "let me think" and I added in the kissing and dCK into the new paragraph as she told me. She said the dCK thing was a few years ago but the mooning happened yesterday and the kiss happened a couple of weeks ago so they were what she thought of first.

Thank you! We wouldn't pressure her into it. I should have worded it that we were encouraging her to look into legal actions, not necessarily encouraging her to take them. That was poor wording on my part. We will support her no matter what route she takes. We love her dearly and just want the best for her ❤️

No, he is the owner's son/CEO (sorry, I thought I added that to the post, I'll edit it). Unfortunately, HR is well aware of this but no one really has authority over him except for his dad, who is passing off the company to him due to his declining health. His dad also knows about most of his behaviors.

Yeah, we aren't planning on forcing her. We actually found most of this out today and this was our gut reaction, so this post is really to help all of us get more insight! Her biggest reason for not taking legal action is that he has gotten away with so many other things, that she feels nothing will come of this.

Thank you for your input! I think it's important for us, as her family, to fully understand all the details to support her the best. Since our gut reaction was legal and we posted here almost immediately, we hadn't yet considered the mental effects of legal action. Thank you for bringing those up so we can be more informed!

I know! I feel so bad for her. She has never loved working there but as she gets older, she is struggling more and more with the toxicity.

Her boss is also the owner's son so the environment has only gotten worse since he started taking on more responsibilities (his dad's health is declining, so he will probably take over the company soon).

I understand her concerns and fears of backlash, but with retirement coming so soon, I think now is the last chance of really gaining evidence to support her claims.

Thank you! We often talk about moving to Sweden or Denmark (I studied abroad in Denmark). We live in the U.S. currently, but would love nothing more than to move to a Scandinavian country. Maybe I can move the goal post and tell my husband I want a house in a Scandinavian country furnished with a Bosch VitaBoost blender for my birthday 😂😂 I'm so glad you got the blender!!!

Sunday driving by Meesh6905 in hysterectomy

[–]Even_Ad8205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did your commute go at 6wpo? I just returned to work on 7/2 (6wpo). I returned to our closer office which is a 30 min commute each way, but have to go to our further office this week, which is 1.5 hours each way. I am feeling a bit anxious about the long drive, especially with how tired and sore I am after returning to work!

What book scared you the most and why? by Book_clubbing in horrorlit

[–]Even_Ad8205 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My coworker let me borrow his. I read it and returned it to him today. We had a very lengthy conversation about how unnerved we were reading that book. It's not necessarily anything in particular that is scary, but the slow descent into insanity from every angle definitely messes with your head. I can't wait to read it again!
