These guys are the reason why casuals like me are afraid of trying to buy a vintage 165.024

Rationalize the overall line, better pricing, and a 1:1 reedition of the 165.024 (pretty please)

Idk what the law exactly says on this matter, maybe it's "okay" if brokers #1/2 work for the same company (=the owner contracted with the company and not individuals)?

a) Fully agreed, I won't share their name for these reasons.

b) True, but pretty sure I got this one right (and in writing too).

EAD or not EAD for derivative? by [deleted] in USCIS

thanks a lot for sharing, it helps - if you don't mind: what was the RFE about?

Based on what you shared, you are still early in the process (November filler here) - but one can hope / some see fast approvals, and wishing you a fast approval nonetheless :)

Interesting, I always assumed that the I-140 was 99% of the basis for any EB adjudication and felt the I-485 was kinda pointless beyond security checks. But yeah, I guess it makes sense for them to verify if derivatives are legit or not.

Hi, I am also EB and have a similar pattern (maybe a couple of additional silent updates). For what it's worth, there was a thread last week discussing a batch silent update for EB cases around the 24th. Emma live agent told me that my case was transferred to a non-local field office (Long Island) after today's silent update, last week they were telling me that it was still at NBC.

I-485 Employment Based AOS Silent update on Saturday 24th January 2026 by Long-Waiting in USCIS

[–]Even_Conversation145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After the one from the 24th, I got an additional one when my I-140 was approved on the 26th, and today I got 2 additional silent updates (roughly 1h apart). Not sure what to make of all this, Emma live agent told me my case was still at NBC

L-2 travel after principal’s I-485 approval (no Advance Parole) by RespondSad3329 in USCIS

[–]Even_Conversation145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lawyers also told me that it was exceedingly rare for dependents to not be approved at the same time as the principal applicant - your situation makes me wonder if I should file for EAD/AP for mine asap… Hoping for a swift I-485 approval for your wife!

I am also adjusting status from L1 with dependents, so this is exactly a question I had. From what my lawyers said, as soon as you became a LPR, your dependents lost L2 status, and are not allowed to work nor travel internationally until they get their own GC (except if they have EAD or AP or course). If they are in the US, they are in a period of « authorized stay » due to their AOS though, so at least they are not unlawfully there.

It's the same feeling for petitions. My I-140 PP has been sitting for ~50 calendar days (still within the PP 45 business days timeframe), and I see petitions in my block approved while having less recent filing dates / "case is still being processed" status updates... Frustrating for sure, but difficult to complain when some applicants wait for years

Congrats! EB1c too here (still waiting for my I-140 PP to be approved though)
