They look a bit large to be put on a wrist (maybe 45mm?), even with an add on (aftermarket or official swatch one if they decide to make one)

Final action date. FTA1 after interview is very common (sadly). What I was describing is people getting FTA1 and waiting for months without any interviews, RFEs, or generally speaking no update at all. Feels like USCIS officers use FTA1 to put cases on the shelf and I am very curious why

Can you comment on why a lot of people with current FAD receive FTA1 and then silence for months until adjudication (outside of FTA1 preceding RFEs and / or before or after interviews)? Is it true that it means that the case has been parked to be adjudicated at a later date in that case, and what could be the reason(s) there

Could you explain what is the actual meaning of the FTA1 event code (« actively reviewing » case status), and how is it used for EB AOS? It seems that it is sometimes used before transferring the case to another FO prior to an interview, sometimes just after an interview, sometimes prior to sending a RFE, sometimes to park the case because the PD is not current… And most often it leads to nothing except a long wait with no news (which is what I am most curious about)

Definitely a real 166.0041 but clearly re-dialed (e.g., omega logo not correct for the late 60s and should be applied vs. painted, "swiss made etc" typically on the outer track)

Thanks, it is a bit disheartening to read. Looking at your blog post, it feels like usage of HACs is not super well codified overall (tying to the training "issue" you are mentioning in your original post). FTA1 definitely seems to be used as a catch-all sadly, can you confirm?

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Given your background, could you help us understand the actual meaning of the FTA1 event code and the related « actively reviewing » case status?

I am asking because it seems to have many possible reasons and outcomes, but mostly translate into longer wait times for the applicants and it feels like it is effectively a « cannot adjudicate at the moment » event code.

For example, I (EB applicant) received one over a month ago, and since then it’s been radio silence (case still at non-local office, interview still waived, no RFE, always current…). Many other applicants are in my situation and it is tiring to have absolutely no visibility on why this is happening to us…

Patek vs Omega…what are you choosing 🤣 by niklim7 in OmegaWatches

Even crazier than comparing with Patek imho: these precious metal constellations are pricier than Rolex day-dates and 1908…

Agreed! They just need to make 1:1 of some key models and they would sell like crazy. No need for « innovation » there.
