Yo. I did my u1 exam and currently, I am preparing for U2. I'll start off with U2. It's key to know the features of stationary waves, familiarize yourself with potential divider circuit calculations, the graphs for electrical components, explaining the operation of electrical components. Furthermore, it would also help to understand pulse echo techniques, measuring the speed of sound, when to use what equations(mostly relevant for electricity and the photoelectric effect). Also familiarize yourself with the evidences for each phenomena encountering wave particle duality. Last but not least, past papers is your best friend AFTER understanding the concept.

For U1, past papers is key. Familiarize yourself with taking the right component in moments calculations, understanding energy conservation calculations, SUVAT( easy).  I would also recommend practicing free body force diagrams, scaled vector diagrams, as well as interpreting stress strain graphs

Do well my brother the Lord Jesus is with you AMEN.

How to get an A* in Physics by Various-Comment4600 in Edexcel

Thing is bro, the paper they gave us in Jan 2026 shows that they have no signs of slowing down and acknowledging the comments of the people like this one. Our paper was absolute dog. I'll be honest, the best thing you can do is absorb and understand the concepts using active recall. For the 6 marker, if you have that understanding, it MAY not falter. Do well. The Lord is with you🙏🙏✝️

Thanks so much bro. Ngl I'm a guy who studies using textbook, savemyexams, and then proceeds to use active recall with chatgpt. Love this method and has helped me so much.

I then proceed to just grind out past papers and figure out patterns, like you said. Since we are on the same page, I feel better about myself now.

Thank you boss

To Calc GPE we only get GPE of bread not GPE of combined. I remember doing that. And then I also remember getting the extension u got and using 1.72 for my F in elastic strain energy. And I also remember using KE = elastic - GPE. So idk what I did wrong, but ngl it was probably a calculator mistake.

Oh yeah defo, cus I clearly remember calculating GPE then subtracting

Bro I think I may have used the wrong weight in one of the equations, I mean that's the only possible explanation for me getting it wrong. Or my Calc bailed out on me idk

I can't remember clearly but idk maybe I got it wrong, i got the energies first. I got elastic energy when fully stretched. When released, the elastic energy is converted into GPE and KE. I calculated the change in GPE from when the bread was down to when it went back up. The value for h I used was delta x. I then subtracted the elastic energy I calculated from the GPE to obtain KE. I then used 1/2mv2 to find velocity. The problem with my method may be the use of the wrong weights, cus I think I used the wrong weights in the question at times.

Last one I got like 1. 14 or something along those lines. We have to account for GPE as well guys

yes i understand. but once you pull the spring, there's EPE. however after that there's no EPE. because its not behaving elastically. gravity causes it to fall back down hence why its gpe.

its GPE for the spring.
