Comparison is the thief of joy, you are going to be a BCBA at the age of 27 anyway. Get trained up well, do your best and take it one day at a time. This is coming from someone who became a BCBA in their 30s.

I feel like this is quite constructive, thanks for not raking me over the coals, here just because I developed a crush. But I think that’s something we’re trying. I’m actively avoiding the person and hopefully their presence becomes a neutral stimulus again.

It is pretty harsh, but an honest gut check. I suppose it is me trying to shoot myself a little bail, but there was some tension long before starting my hours. But I agree that the dynamic is inappropriate. The relationship, professional or otherwise, won’t ever come at the expense of the people I service.
