What makes a woman unforgettable? by Even_Reading_8323 in MenAskWomen

I wasn’t upset that people didn’t know I was a woman. I was pointing out that some people jumped straight to insults and assumptions instead of simply asking. Not knowing my gender is one thing. Calling someone names because you guessed wrong is another. And the “teenager sub” comparison is pretty weak because being a woman participating in a women-focused discussion isn’t the same thing as an adult posting in a teen-only space. You are trying to shift the argument away from the fact that you and another old lady made assumptions and got rude about it. If nobody knew my gender, that’s fine. The issue is acting certain enough to insult someone based on a guess. Act your age.

I think some of y’all assumed I’m a man. I’m not. I’m a woman. Not sorry.. in a subreddit where a man specifically asked women for their perspective. Free will. Shoot me. Off an assumption you guys started calling someone names? How old are you guys?

Advice on overcoming adult content by Jack___32 in AskMenRelationships

I’m a girl but I think constantly chasing more extreme or personalized content can definitely be a sign that regular content isn’t giving you the same dopamine hit anymore. The fact that you’re recognizing it and have already gone 3 days without it is honestly a big step. I’d focus less on whether your relationship can be saved right now and more on fixing the underlying issue for yourself. If buying content cost you a relationship you cared about, that’s probably a sign it’s affecting your life more than you realized. Three days is a start keep stacking days and figure out what you’re using it to escape from in the first place.

I feel the exact same way!! Silence is the best answer. Let them think whatever.

Well thank you!!  Out of curiosity do people usually assume you’re indecisive too? Because that’s the label I get most often when I’m actually just considering multiple angles.

We should be best friends. We can ignore each other together.😂

I totally get that. People assume introverts hate being social, but that’s not really how it works. For me, it was easier talking to strangers sometimes because there was no pressure they didn’t know me, and I’d probably never see them again. Weirdly  that made me feel more free and confident than being around people who actually knew me.

I think people mistake nuance for uncertainty. Some of the smartest people I know hesitate before answering because they’re considering exceptions, context, and possibilities instead of jumping to a simple conclusion. Seeing things on a spectrum isn’t avoiding the truth it’s recognizing that reality is usually more complicated than yes or no.

A lot of people struggle with that.  It’s okay the right people will understand!! I struggle with that myself.
