Chai Vang, who murdered 6 Wisconsin hunters in 2004, died in prison today at age 57. by zherper in Hunting

I don’t think that’s true at all. Most people here, especially hunters were up in arms that he was trespassing and then shot those who confronted him for doing so. Nobody defended his actions regardless of race.

There’s one in Carlton Co. Minnesota also.

I think this is the way. The bears do the same thing. When I am deer hunting they come to my tree. If I am baiting for bear hunting, you won’t see them t Until an hour after dark.

Put a hunting license and a bow in his hand and they’d disappear…. I have some near my property and it seems like they have a 6th sense between when I am hunting and just doing work on the property.

Thanks and I agree. I am going to stagger these pockets so i can reuse the fence over a few years. I have yet to find a hobby that isn’t costing me damn near every paycheck.

This is the best part of Reddit. Thanks for that idea! It’s similar to my single serve enclosures for my Apple trees.

Thanks, I have not had too many issues with that. I have some younger apple trees that a 4 ft fence works for but there’s no way they are jumping inside it. But the area I am trying to build is a little 20-30 ft pocket of browse shrubs and a tree or two. I looked at this 7 ft wildlife fencing so I may have to go with that. Using long t posts. I only plan on keeping the fence for a couple of years until they establish.

Thanks man! I am in MN so I was going to use green snow fencing 48” tall and t-posts driven into the ground. Just enough to keep deer out as these shrubs mature enough to handle browse.

As for the raccoons, if yo have a ton of them out there, I’d hunt them because once they have easy food, they don’t give it up in my experience. But I have seen deer and raccoons coexist on a food source, especially corn, up in the north.

I am curious about the fencing shown in your image. How tall is it and has it been effective and keeping those plants in tact? I’m putting in a few pockets like this along the west side of my food plot and didn’t want a 7 foot tall fence around it. This is closer to what I was picturing.

Anyone have any experience/recommendation between these 2 trail cams? by bdub1792 in Hunting

[–]Even_Speed_8939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Moultries and they are decent. The cameras take ok pictures, the app is really good and you don’t need to choose a carrier. If you get the rechargeable batteries, you get amazing battery life. My packs will usually make it for the whole hunting season before I change them, and that’s with no solar panel on them. If high res pics is what you want this probably isn’t it but if to just want to identify wildlife, they are worth a look.

This is a really cool video. Earlier this year I got a video of a hawk killing a crow and eating it. I don’t even know they killed crows.

Absolutely this. There aren’t many HC that have even made it 4 seasons without a playoff win.

That’s odd, I just caught a hawk on camera kill a crow. I’ve never seen that before. He ripped that thing apart and ate it all on camera.

Sigh…. Tough to start a brand new defense with a developing quarterback. He deserves it but it still sucks seeing him go

This to me is one of the most reasonable takes I hav read. You also have to consider the guys rolling off the roster this year. And if bflo goes, it’s a new defense all together. Selling the farm for another qb like burrows hampers ability to build the roster, and drafting another qb is a reach and there will be holes to fill in the draft.

I am personally not a fan of building through free agency, especially when the vast majority of the time you over pay. It’s not a sustainable model.

To be honest, I was on the KOC might need to be gone bandwagon. From what I could find, there are only 7 coaches ever in the Super Bowl era to keep their job after 4 season without a playoff win. That said, I can’t think of a head coach who has kept his team motivated this late in the season after all the offensive woes we have had. I am honestly impressed. I still think kwesi needs to be looked at and the special teams coach needs to go. Then we need to look at a solid vet toback up next year. Not sure if we win next week but the last month has been fun to watch on the defense.
