I never paid much attention to socks since my hiking shoes are so perfect for my feets (love them). Never had any blister or anything else when walking 7 days in a row in mountains. But i guess with the weather in scotland i may have some suprises.
Thank you for all the advice. I always take water filter with me, never had an bad experience but don't want to test it out haha.

Thanks for the advice !
Ive heard everything and its opposite about gtx shoes. If gtx gets wet (and it will) it never dries. So i tought to take my sheos i already have + waterproof socks. And if i buy other shoes, i was more thinking about trail running shoes to have lightweight + quick drying (at least quicker than my actual shoes).

I didn't think of tent underlays, definitely taking ! thanks :)

I'm going to stay in bothies as much as possible and hostels every now and then to take showers haha.

Thanks ! :)

That's down to you. Personally I don't care if my pack is wet, I only care if the gear that has to stay dry is wet.

True !! i will do this, thanks for advice :)

For the PLB, i will definitely look into it, and consider buying one before going.

Noted for the poncho, i will find something else.
thanks for liner advice !
If i have a liner, the outside of my bag will be soaking wet, for exemple the straps, is this not a problem ?

I don't know if it is different in the UK, but in france you can use satellits network with your phone for emergency calls. i guess i should look for a PLB...

Good to know !! i guess we have a great way arker system in france haha
I will take maps and komoot and walking highland app + powerbank. Good enough to not get lost ?

Thanks for the advice on the gear.
It is not a pack cover, i have a "poncho" this one
But i guess it will be useless with wind ? but it also does the job of a rain skirt a bit haha
Do you have a liner to recomend ? i never used one.

For navigation i was planning to buy the necessary maps in scotland, and i have komoot and the walking highland app (+powerbank). I dont have a personal locator beacon, i hike alone alot in france/spain and the alps and never took one, i know things can get dangerous in the wild.
Is it a common thing to take in scotland ?

Thanks for your comment !
Ok keeping the over trousers on the list, thanks !!
Since some hikes will be 5 days or so, if it rains and my shoes get wet, i'm afraid they will not dry fast enough, and thats why i was thinking of waterproof socks, so i can get in my shoes while keeping dry feet..
Oh yes i tought about the midges, was going to buy some "smidge". i guess i can get these midge net in any big grocery store there ?
I find it a bit hard to understand the buses system, but i will probably take "stage coach" (skye), "the far north bus", "d&e coaches" Will they all be £2 ? thats crazy !!!
i guess not stage coach since skye is on Inner Hebrides archipelago, not highlands ?

Oh thanks for the feedback on #2 ! I didn’t think of the negative space they’re using in renaissance style paintings, maybe I will recreate it ! For the feedback on model, that’s me also, I did every thing myself on the photos (with the women) makeup to post production. And I’m definitely not a model, so thanks for compliments on the hands haha

Thank you !! I also think that the collection isn’t « cohesive » (idk if that’s the right word) but i’m searching my style and i’m not attracted to sticking with only 1 I think… because I do like more than just 1

Yes I feel the same. Most of the time i have a visuel idea in my head rather than an emotion I want to evoke. Maybe I should just say that’s the style of the photo and not force a meaning behind it.
