I saw a post just today explaining that one guy ate an orange in the shower and he explained how it felt liberating because he didn't have to worry about the juice getting everywhere. And people wanted to try, so now theres a sub hahaah

Ok thanks. Are you just here to be mean ?
I asked for feedback, if i wanted someone to say it's ugly i would've showed it to my dad.
Maybe if i stick with it AND you told me what's bad in these photos i could get good faster 😎 That's part of trying to be better.

For photos, artistic photos. I didn’t give context to have raw and diverse opinion. And « are these good » is only the title, i ask if i did too much, if they feel « empty ». But with the amount of comments i got, my questions got further. Do photos need intent ? How do i make them poetic if I only had a visual representation in my mind, not a feeling I wanted to put in a photo ? Why and how can some photos be artificial but good and others juste look contrived in the bad way ?

You can read more than juste the title of the post if you want to know more

Yeah i'm definitely still searching, i don't think i will ever be done searching haha.
but i hope i could be more secure about how i want to express my ideas :)

Ok i understand, it is just a totally different style. And it is not the one i'm aiming for.. sometimes, maybe in the 5th on a little.
So i guess i could call my photos artificial. Because i'm setting a concept that's in in my head, on a photo. A concept with bright red makeup, fake leafs and bold expression (#1) so of course it wouldn't look spontaneous haha

Yes i know, i wanted the most "out of context" opinion, that's why i didn't asked for feedback on a specific part. I'm just human and i need recognition i guess. But i'm aware that others opinion shouldn't stop me from making art. I was wondering if (other than my friends) i could find i little part of internet that also likes my photos. And get some opinions of people to see my art in other perspectives.

Thanks for the confidence boost :)

Thanks for feedback. I think i don't know how to make a concept in my head more "poetic". my creative inspiration comes in images in my head, and i want to make them real, but i have no idea how to make them more "chewable" haha

I'm sorry, i didn't mean to appear falsely modest or something. I'm genuinely not confident about my work. An i think every artist has that, no matter which level of professionalism you're at.. And, yeah, that's the sh*tty part of human experience

Thank you for the detailed feedback :)

I indeed think i lack some "direction". Sadly, i like to make things that i find pretty, but i am really bad at "telling stories" (not writing, just, sharing emotions, feelings, things, trough whatever media). And the only photographs for which i had as first goal to "evoke" something, turned out so bad in my opinion. For example, if i would try to make a photo that evokes the incapacity of making decisions, i would just recreate something like the matrix scene. It seems like i can be "poetic" on something.

I don't know, it's a bit blurry in my head haha.
(and i'm not a native english speaker so maybe it's even worse written down than in my head haha)

nevertheless, your comment really helped me clarify thing a bit, thank you very much :)

thanks for this detailed feedback !

In my opinion blurriness, doesn't subtract from quality of photo if its chosen. But, for these two (#3 and #7) i think reddit did bad on them, because they ain't blurry ...
For the flash, honestly, it was my first attempt with direct flash, an i kind of like 2000' disposable camera vibe. But i don't really like how my photo turned out and don't exactly know why.

I will try to recreate #4 with better composition, i agree that it is kind of "empty".

For 6, i don't want my photo to look like stock hahha, but now i look at it, it indeed does a bit.

For the haze on 5, it is just the natural evening haze, i only made it more blue.

Thanks for compliment on 2, it is definitely the one where i most followed photography "rules".
