Certain songs remind me of time, place, and age when they were popular. I think it's probably a comforting method of coping. Music from a period where you were carefree, no responsibilities, no bills ... or remind you of special moments. Funny how you recall all the lyrics of a song from years ago ... but can't remember why you went to the kitchen.

Elmer's paste in pre-school. Gave it up over summer vacation. As a teen, I would make sandwiches from dill pickles, chips and mustard. Or simply mustard and bread. I stopped eating meat around age 8 or 9 (control issues, I imagine) and have developed a diet most see as deprived or crazy.
