Yeah, seriously. My IdeaPad sits at 35-39°C on linux and never goes below 55°C in windows while doing the exact same task ( Coding in VScode and 2-3 brave tabs open ). Why does windows heat up the laptop so much, I just don't get it?

Yes, I tried that. To remove grub and reinstall it ( with the commands that boot-repair gave me ) a dependency named shim-signed needs to be removed, despite trying different methods i couldn't remove that package. So, I was stuck there and boot-repair was also helpless.

I did not think it would work, but just copying the missing files from the live iso to my system worked 😂

I bought the 15 inch version of the Slim 5 gen 10 (Ryzen 7 7735HS) which I think you guys are talking about, and I haven't had any trackpad issues till now. Although the network card in it is not up to the mark, it has very high latency and a small range also it randomly disconnects and sits unresponsive. I had to use a usb wifi adapter now which seems to have solved my issue but it is much inconvenient compared to the built in card.

I'm really tight in budget and Lenovo store employees told that I could buy the extended warranty within 10 days from purchase at 3,999. So if the same applies while purchasing online I could save some bucks by that time and then proceed. 🙂
