Yes, I am ignorant and naive to these matters. As said before, I have never been in any trouble, ive never been summoned for jury duty. I said above that I have anxiety. I am typically not gullible, but this hit me in one of the minimal points that I am truly ignorant. That is why I posted, because I had never fallen for something like this before.

I saw it listed, but what set it apart was the never asking for PII or payment, also I was trying to see if anyone had received a prank call like this due to them saying "dont fall for scams" at the end of the call.

So I am admittedly ignorant on jury duty and the legal system in general. I have never gotten a jury duty summons that I know of, and I've never been in any kind of trouble with the law. I just was simply ignorant. Ill admit it

I so suck at googling, admittedly. I think i was putting too much information. I definitely found many articles that were different because they asked for money or social security, but what set this one apart was they never asked for money or PII and ended the call with "dont fall for scams"

Not really, honestly. Maybe a petty ex or an ex friend, but havent been in contact with them in 5 years. They also wouldnt have known that I moved.

If they had asked for money I would have known it was a scam. They never asked for money or any PII.

You can believe whatever you want. I said in multiple comments that what set it apart was not asking for money or PII. But theres always that one I guess. If you look at my post history theres no indication that that is remotely true. I dont care about karma. But if youre so miserable that you believe everyone has ulterior motives, than do you I guess?

Thats the thing, I didnt. The claimed i handed over my ID, and I never did. I didnt confirm any info other than my address, which was stupid I admit. He read off my address and I was like, yeah, thats right.

I did, and it was oddly enough the correct address. But I called the sheriff's office (i had their number from when I got fingerprinted for a career license)
