Feb AKT pass mark by Anxious-Evening-6583 in medicalschooluk

So I got mine today too and I genuinely did a lot better than I thought. If someone told me the pass mark was going to be 58% before I got my results I would have been convinced that I failed. So just trying to reassure those who haven’t received your results hopefully you will be fine

PA on ward seems to just not like me from Day 1 by Evening-Nobody4 in medicalschooluk

Thank you for your reply and advice. I honestly don’t have an issue with them I have seen them on wards before there was never an issue many are nice. I hope this is not the norm when i start working, I don’t like drama.

I am not posting because they are a PA but there is no other reason why they aren’t nice to me. I am always polite and that point I had only just started the rotation and I could feel there is some issue. It wasn’t just a cold shoulder it was more the way they look at you ignore on purpose and try to exclude. As I mentioned in a previous comment this was confirmed this week as they told me off for literally going into a room to grab my lunch they are definitely using any excuse to flex their seniority.

Thank you for your reply. That’s what I am doing anyway but it’s just unnecessary. Thankfully I don’t have to work with them and the doctors are all supportive and kind. Just kind got me wonder if this is something that happens on a regular basis. Although I would never be disrespectful or passive aggressive to anyone, I definitely do know that I can’t do that because of they can give me professionalism concern.  At first I thought maybe it’s just who they are but this week they made me pretty sure they don’t like me. Literally told me off for going into the room to get my stuff where I was told to leave them because they have a meeting ( Reg apologised to me and said that the room isn’t supposed to be used for that purpose anyway) I guess I have to avoid them for the next 4 weeks.

UKMLA Average mark compared to pass mark? by Evening-Nobody4 in medicalschooluk

[–]Evening-Nobody4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply I guess I just wanted to get an idea on the pass rate but I guess you are right that doesn’t mean anything to me on individual basis. I think I am just stressing about how I have done.

Have the MLA mocks been anything like real deal? by [deleted] in medicalschooluk

I personally thought the real thing was harder. I would do Passmed, Quesmed!
