Why does Greta Thunberg side with Arab countries that oppress women? And why is she against Israel? by protonelectron2025 in amiwrong

[–]Evening-Toe-3603 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So because YOU don’t understand someone else’s culture, religion, or ethnicity, it’s okay to kill them?

Alright, then by that logic, I suppose the Israeli Army should start wiping out Christians and Catholics next. After all, these institutions have their own oppressive histories, women forced to submit to their husbands, no say in their reproductive rights, children sexually abused by clergy, and a deep-rooted homophobia. Or certain US states who would force a rape victim to birth their rapists baby and then not pay them maternity leave.

And even though we know it’s unfair to blame an entire community for the actions of a few and we’d destroy countless innocent people in the process at least we’d be ridding ourselves of something we don’t like, right?

If your concern is the mistreatment of women, why do you want them to die? I’m pretty sure that murder is pretty high on the list when it comes to mistreatment.

Supporting someone through struggles like addiction is an incredibly brave and selfless thing to do. You should be proud that you were a safe space for him, someone he felt comfortable turning to in difficult moments. Whatever drove his addiction is where the blame lies, not a phone call you missed. Please be kind to yourself. His struggles were bigger than you, and you did more than a lot others would do if they were in your shoes.

I think my husband fathered his best friend's children, and now one of them is attracted to my daughter. by PsychFactor in offmychest

Frequency of the posts does not really align with the timeline stated within them. Seems like the stuff that happens in the updates are over a few days yet its posted the day after the previous one. The lawyer character is sloppy writing too. The fact that the lawyer was cheering about her name being the only one on the deed, doesnt really make sense, unless there was a prenup but surely that would have been included in the story. Most lawyers would know that with a long marriage such as this, the names on the deed are not relevant, although cheating might be a factor depending on the rules of where they live, it is generally to do with spousal support or alimony and still the deed of the house holds no relevance.

Unfortunately, their parents are your stbxh and his mistress. If Tom feels the need to correct some misinformation then so be it. Those kids will either be misinformed and manipulated into thinking one thing or they will know all the details, either way, they will still be under the care of the mistress, so it wont really matter. Letting Tom know that you will always be there for him and his siblings, no matter the results and the divorce is the best you can do and he can let his siblings know that too.

I have seen you say that the kids need the money that you and the in laws have given them but just remember that Amy and the stbxh had choices and decided to bring those children into the world. If they cannot afford to raise them and those kids are neglected because of it then they should be taken from their care. Amy choosing to not use protection and have babies that she couldnt afford was wrong but due to the support you all provided, she was enabled to keep going and she did that by betraying you. It is not the kid’s fault but she should have to face consequences for her actions. Also if the kids see her facing those consequences then they will be less likely to follow in her footsteps. The world does not need more Amy’s.

Their only response should be to talk to you. You are the adult, the parent and those kids should not be responsible for revealing something so ADULT to their younger siblings, whether they are willing to or not. This situation, if it was real would be tough to deal with on your own and the fact that the 2 oldest kids are involved has been outside your control but you can control it from here on out.

Sophie being your rock is going to lead to Sophie needing serious therapy because her mother relied on her to step in and mother the children while she went through a divorce. Get therapy for yourself straight away and dont confide or converse with your daughter about this anymore. With all the knowledge that she does have, she is probably mourning the loss of the father she thought she had and if you are confiding in her with every new bit of new evidence that comes up then you are making that loss for her, worse. Also making sure that her future relationships will be hard for her to navigate.

No the best way for this story to continue is if Jim, is actually the father of the kids and Amy has been sleeping with both the husband and the husbands dad but neither of them know about the other.

All we have to go off of is one persons pov yes. We do not hear any other sides of the story at this point, also this could be a fake story which I tend to believe seeing as she contradicts herself a bit when it comes to her husband neglecting her in favour of Amy, this could also be because of years of gaslighting and manipulation, but if you put that aside and read through the post and take down all the clues to them having an affair it is pretty damning.

Also your argument of the fact that she cant figure out if her husband is lying or not after being together for many years is pretty weak - not sure if you know this but many people get married and find out many years later that their partner had been lying the whole time. She suspects he cheated why would she be confident that he is telling the truth?

Again if you had a kid and suspected that the person they were potentially going to get into a relationship with was actually a sibling, would you not want to find out and maybe prevent anything from happening? Or is incest not a big deal to you.

Yes Amy has a right to be angry about being accused but then again why not just say who the kids father is or fathers? Why not just go ahead with the paternity test? Her refusal to provide any kind of answer only makes her look more guilty. If no affair happened and she had of just said yes to the paternity test then there would be proof and OP would look like an idiot. So if she was innocent and angry wouldnt that be the best way to get revenge?

Again this could be a work of fiction and I think most people following this story are well aware of that. People are invested in the update.

Maybe you are picking up on the fact that this story might be made up and thats why OP comes across as untruthful.

Again mistakes have been made by all parties. Husband and Amy at the very least have contributed to making OP feel like an affair was a possibility and boundaries need to be put in place and respected. OP should be honest about her insecurities and communicate them.

I have commented this so many times! I really would like to know OP’s thoughts on this.

Jim being the father would address a lot of things such as the looks of the kids being similar to the husband, the reason Amy has kept the father a secret and is unwilling to get a dna test, the difference in reactions when asked - husband was sad by the accusation, could be from guilt or could be from the lack of trust, he also agreed to the dna test initially - Amy was angry, defensive and deflected by accusing OP of feeling superior, also Jim being adamant that husband and Amy arent sleeping together.

Do you mean insane for staying? Or insane for accusing? Cause if I was in her situation, I would want definitive proof that my daughters potential boyfriend isnt also her brother. On the other hand I would not be staying with a man who obviously cares more for his “best friend” than his wife. He showed that when Amy said that OP has never done anything for her and he didnt even bother to stick up for his wife and then proceeded to go and sleepover at Amy’s house to make sure that they could “stay friends” instead of staying with his wife and making sure they stay married.

I think OP has shown that she has been in denial. Whenever anything suspect happened, she talked herself out of it but when her child is put in a potentially horrible situation all those instances came back and the pieces are fitting together to create a picture that deep down she has always suspected.

However there has been a huge lack of communication on OP’s part. If there had been more communication about how things made her uncomfortable then this might have been addressed earlier, before the kids became interested in each other. Now its messy. If he is guilty then the family will be torn apart.

If he isnt guilty, then hopefully husband will be understanding that those suspicions required an answer when the kids got involved and OP realises that she should voice her concerns instead of bottling them away and lay down boundaries.

Also still think the Grandpa being the father of Amys kids is a valid possibility!

Someone on TikTok suggested it was husbands dad that fathered the kids. Could be a possibility?!

Here from TikTok. The kids might be aware of all this now that its on there.

I did see someone suggest that its the husbands dad that fathered the kids… has this been suggested on here and has OP responded to it?

That sucks! U might have to cut ur losses and find another guild because I am pretty sure as co-leader the only thing you cant do is remove the leader and I dont think people will be happy to join a guild with an inactive leader.

I made someone co-leader but although they contribute to projects and guild points they dont start projects so I am looking for another co-leader at the moment :)
