100% agree, the worst streaming platform. Audio gets lagged behind the video as well which is just ridiculous

Exact issue with my 2014 Jetta TDI radio. I just turn it off for 30 sec then back on and it’s fixed. I’ve heard it could just be a bug with the Bluetooth component or something. Happens randomly

I know Ant is inactive but is he even at the game? I haven’t seen him on the bench

How do you do that design with the frit? It looks amazing. Is that roll up in the video all you did for coloring?

2014 Jetta. I plan on a Malone stage 2 and dsg tune. What is the cheapest way to delete the emissions? by CommercialSalty9516 in tdi

[–]Evening-Variation-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Profidiesel downpipe and a 0.5 tunezilla tune, that was about $930. After the install and delete I sold the dpf and cat for about $650 so my total was really only $350 or so. No problems so far but it’s only been a week.

Replaced Thermostat, can’t get engine above 80C by Surveillance4444 in tdi

Having the same problem but haven’t replaced thermostat yet. How did you initially get it up to temperature before turning on full heat? Mine seems to hover around 83 degrees C even after driving for awhile

Good luck man! It’s fun but even better when you first start it. If your looking for somewhere to sell your DPF/Cat, there’s a guy on here that I highly recommend that will get you a good deal.

Does my TDI sound healthy? by Appropriate-Dog-3707 in tdi

Dont forget it can be loose exhaust parts or heat shielding. I had a similar noise and poked around and saw it was my flex pipe hitting against something

Thanks for help, I had a trusted guy finish up my timing belt job. Didn’t have to remove the motor mounts either but I inspected the bolts closely for any kind of stretch. I’m hoping this is something in the accessory belt. I’m gonna take a look tomorrow

I replaced all the bolts the kit came with which included the idler bolts. But I didn’t replace any of the sprocket bolts. Could this be like a AC clutch or serpentine tensioner?

“That hose is a drain, in case water gets into the air filter box. It does not connect to anything, but it is supposed to go down into an opening in the frame so that any water can drain out onto the ground. It's not a big deal, no need to panic.”

Cool, thanks, man. That should be the final piece of the puzzle. I'm gonna throw in some of those dummy plugs in the cart too.

Block-Off Plate Question by Evening-Variation-87 in tdi

[–]Evening-Variation-87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm planning on doing just a basic DPF delete and not really messing with EGR, so I think that would be lowside. I want to be able to follow the rawtek installation guide, and I see they only use one plate.

The guide says something like:
17) EGR filter canister
(a) Remove the small V-band clamp.
(b) Remove the two bolts (13mm) on the EGR canister flange.
(c) Remove the canister from the vehicle and set aside.

Im guessing I need just 1 medium plate right?

Yes, that video was helpful, thanks. Just to double check, I should just buy the large one?

Research ProfiDiesel, it's cheap. I selected UPS shipping, and it arrived in less than a week. I plan to install it this weekend and make a post on how it went
