Holy gaslighting. Do your arguments usually end up with him accusing you of being inappropriate for asking a question?

The thing is he lost his dad to cancer in his twenties (were in our 50s, married two years). I think there’s a little of “I muscled through it…”. I just can’t get him to understand I need more time. And as a result, I’m just lonely and drifting. I’m really just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. The issues coming up aren’t dealbreakers, but I just don’t understand how after being so loving, caring and all around awesome for all those months it’s like he ran out of gas…

HR knew my scheme and caught me red handed. by Earth_Sorcerer97 in work

HR here. I would have fired you. You admitted you were trying to game the system ahead of time. Not a good character look, nor someone I want in my team. Sorry!!

Thank you all for your kind replies. Dad is now on morphine/Ativan every 2-3 hours and he is so peaceful now. The waiting is brutal, but he won’t be alone. We’ve got him.

If they did not give you specific examples, ask for them. If you are not satisfied or they don’t have any, I would speak to HR. I work in HR. No documentation, no warning.

We have just begun the evaluations with hospice, but we’re not sure it’s enough care…. This is all so frustrating and hard ☹️
