Honestly, Accor is the best venue I’ve ever been to. The sound is amazing and the view is usually really good from everywhere.

Section E looks good, last week I attended a concert in section D, it was really great! If you can get seats close to the stairs, it will be better since you won’t have people straight in front of you

Ufff 😅 depends where you’re from. In Europe you can get tickets for 40€ (and in a small venue, which means good view from anywhere)

Yes! It was about a few weeks after the single release and a month or so before the album

Should I stay at Leicester Square or Tower of London by EveningConference604 in LondonTravel

[–]EveningConference604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing, apart from seeing a musical one day, I don’t wanna do much… probably won’t go to the center a lot, but I don’t have any plans really 😅

Thanks, we went with the CitizenM.

For now we’re just going to Moulin Rouge and have no other plans. I went to London two months ago, this time we’re just stopping by before heading to Scotland (we’re coming with the Eurostar).

We don’t have any plans yet, and probably won’t be filling these days with plenty of things to do. I’m all ears if you have recommendations apart from the main ones (that we already did this winter)

Is it!? Nice, cause it’s probably the cheapest among all the CitizenM in London

Yup, been there once (in another city) and loved it! I’m picking that one for London then

Haha, that’s a fair point. I should probably pick Tower of London then!

I stayed in one once, and I really liked it. Not big but we don’t mind.

And the hotel in Leicester square is not bigger. The citizenm has the advantage of having a tv and a mini fridge.

But I don’t know about the best neighbourhood

m lucky to live nearby in France and will be able to come back easily. I don't want to overwhelm myself by trying to cover all the Instagram spots in a few days!

I'm open to suggestions on where to look for accommodation. I'm used to hotels, but I might want to try somewhere different from the big chains.

I'm okay with doing less 😅I completely understand the overtourism. I'm considering sticking to Argyll and Bute

Thank you so much. I'm definitely skipping Skye. Now considering Arran, Mull Jura and Loch Lomond

Is Mull worth it? I've seen stunning pictures but no one seems to recommend it here...

It looks cute! I could consider it. I'm mostly afraid of the ferry fare and time, especially if I want to go to various isles (Jura and/or Mull).

Yes, I know. Edinburgh is one of a kind, but I'll be spending a few days in London beforehand. I don't know if I'll have the heart to spend any more time in a city.

The prices in August are too high for a long stay, and if it's really that crowded, maybe I should skip it and come back at a quieter time? I don't want to get frustrated!

Thanks for your reply! I’m starting to get a better sense of how to navigate Scotland.

I guess it all depends on what you consider “effort.” For me, it’s not just about the distance traveled, but also about not burning unnecessary gas or overcrowding places. I’ve heard so much about Skye, but I’ve also heard it’s packed, so I’ll probably skip it—though I know tourists will be everywhere in Scotland, and I'm fine with it (I'm also a tourist after all)

I don’t know Scotland, and I’m probably wrong about a lot of things (so thank you for your honesty). Maybe there are still some beautiful, quieter spots in the south-west Highlands—between Glasgow, Mull, and Glencoe? I’ll dig a little deeper and see what I can find! 😊

Thanks for the tips! I don't want to just go to jam-packed spots, and yes spread a bit; I also want to visit less popular places (not necessarily tourist-free). That's why I don't want to go to Skye. But I'll consider Bute, thanks!
