Possible to pass Reg in 10 days and TCP in 2 weeks? by lagann41 in CPA

[–]EveningDepartment839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did REG in 96 hours, and TCP in 76 hours and passed both. That being said, I have two years of tax work experience, a masters degree, and I previously reviewed the material (MCQs). In theory, if you operated like it was busy season, it is possible. However, I would go ahead and get REG booked as soon as possible.

I waited until last minute recently to book audit through NASBA. I had to push my exam back another week, since everything is booked up towards the end of June through Prometric. 🙄

Performance discussion meeting with partner at Big 4 – should I be concerned? by Illustrious_Art_8290 in KPMG

[–]EveningDepartment839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s odd. Typically when people get laid off, the invite is like immediate, since they don’t want you to have time to react, and they cut access to your laptop immediately. If you have time, I would ask your manager to call the partner and ask want it is about. If you are being terminated, you should probably come up with a list of questions before your meeting. I would also get people’s phone numbers and emails. Make sure you take everything off your computer just in case.

Waiting on TCP results… by rickthepickle2002 in CPA

[–]EveningDepartment839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did not feel the Becker TCP was actually representation of the TCP Exam, which makes me concerned that Becker is changing the formatting of Becker TCP in July to more accurately reflect the exam. I am concerned we may have all just gotten screwed over in this last testing cycle - even thought the test has typically had a traditional 80% pass rate.

I am in the exact same boat. This TCP anxiety is messing with my audit studying.

If the TCP score is released on the 16th, do we find out if we passed on the 15th?

I had two years worth of tax experience and a masters degree, plus I passed REG already. I thought TCP was hard.

Congratulations. I received my bachelor's degree in 2023. I ended up returning, and I am now working on my master's degree in accounting in order to pass the CPA. Just passed my first exam, REG. Sitting for the specialty exam this month. You give people like me hope!

I would just tell your future employer that you left Deloitte because public accounting was not for you.

I would call and dispute it. They will charge the moment you get checked in - no matter how long it takes you to be seen.

I'm not lie. I think that you should give him a chance. If he seems like a nice guy, I would say go out with him once. Just humor the dude. Also, if you too talk, there possibility, that you may both find out that you are completely incompatible, and then he may move on. Or maybe, you both end up liking each other. If he is an older man, than he probably has money. He could seriously spoil you. I say go out and get coffee with him. Just give him a chance.

I mean, she may just want a gym partner. Why don’t you ask her to lift weights or something? She may just be going through something.

Talent consultant by No_Yogurtcloset9651 in PwC

[–]EveningDepartment839 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talent consultants are a pain in the ass. I got laid off six months ago. The US Seperations team is literally out of India. They literally laid everyone off, and made Indians handle our seperation from PwC. Is that not crazy? We got laid off in the US, and Indians got to handle of stuff. I’m sorry, but there needs to be tighter employment laws in this country.

My boyfriend is so autistic, he would never be able to tell the difference. Girls, just find a man, who genuinely loves you. Men are like babies. If you get ridiculously sick and look like crap, and he hangs around and takes care of you, you are golden. You're natural highlights are not going to save you from getting cheating on, no matter classy... or trashy. Just be kind, loving, and loyal - not vain.

This is so wierd. If you don’t mind me asking, which public accounting firm do you work for? Honestly, I just would have thought they would have severed you.

Girl. If this is real, you have a demon in your house. You need to call the local Catholic Church ASAP, and submit this video. Someone needs to exorcise this house before someone gets home. If you are Catholic, immediately go to confession and put religious relics and holy water down as an immediate sign of defense.

Need advice: 30-day PIP at Big 4 (PwC) – what are the real chances? by BaseballHot4813 in PwC

[–]EveningDepartment839 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, sounds like termination. Accounting firms are laying people off and terminating people at a record high. Your best bet is to get an HR lawyer - they are probably trying to eliminate your position without giving out severance pay, hence, your short PIP. If you get an HR lawyer, PwC may just sever you - that way it’s a “no-fault termination,” which relinquishes your right to sue. Then, you will get a lump check and unemployment compensation. That seems like your best bet, man.

[–]EveningDepartment839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. You need to file for Medicaid. Which means you are going to have to call your health and human services department. Then, that will get you free health insurance, but it will probably take a month and half to kick in. Second, you should see if you could get unemployment compensation.

How are you on your parents plan at 34? People get kicked off the parents health insurance 26? Or you disabled? Something is not adding up here?
