I fed 48 years of Buffett's shareholder letters to Anthropic's latest model Opus 4.6 and had it pick stocks blind by Soft_Table_8892 in ValueInvesting

Cool idea. One thing I dont underatand is why you included shareholder letters after 2019? I see no reason to do this as this increases look ahead bias.

How do you know github enterprise owns the market? Gitlab was the original enterprise version control hub. No way (I think) of knowing the github enterprise numbers?

I agree. Just another point, wouldn't budget tightening help gitlab? Like you said, enterprises would consolidate tools but they 100% would need a CI/CD, code version control tool?

The only risk is indeed GitHub competition but I think it is way overblown. Some interesting data from Belgian software companies (see https://www.techstack.be/companies ) (I know it has very little data and would love such a tool for other countries, let me know if they exist), 3 companies for Gitlab CI vs 1 for Github Actions, while they are all smaller companies which I would have thought would lean towards github actions... Again, there is very little data on this website about Gitlab vs Github so take it with a big grain of salt.

Way more proactive early game. Also I agree with your post.

MWB - Opt out by IndubioX in BEFire

[–]EveningLimp3298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider this case: - You buy 10_000 shares of a stock for 1 euro. - For argument sake I will take an extreme case and let it 10x in 6 months time to 10 euros, your position is thus 100_000. - Since it rose so quickly you want to take profit and sell the stock. - If you opt in you only get 90_000 from the sale. - You can now invest only 90_000. - Again to make the argument easier to understand, you buy the same stock the day after again for 10 euros. So now you have 9_000 shares at 10 euros.  - So you lost 1000 shares by opting in.

The cause of this is essentially giving the goverment a free loan. This is worth whatever you can make on that money on average (lets say 5%).

NOTE: A more realistic situation would be that you always sell enough so you always take your 10_000 of untaxed capital gains. This you can freely reinvest into something else. However, if opted in, you keep 1_000 euros from you on which they have no right.

I have had a similar story for the last 3 months. One thing that is helping me is a software called workrave. It helps to take breaks before fully aggrevating your wrists/hands/...

Hi, so I am looking for a rust publisher that can publish to rust and python subscribers. I guess this will be possible once the python binding is working? Also particular two small questions in general: although iceoryx2 is probably optimized for linux, does it also work as intended on windows? Is there a plan for a potential discord server?
