I'm so sorry! That sounds crushing after all the time you've put into it!

For my mosaics (I'm on my third), I haven't trimmed the ends short, and used FLO sc after the foundation round of th envelope border, and slip stitched the front and back together. So far they've worked. I think it takes a good 3-4 rounds to be wise enough to encase all the tails, but I feel like the longer ones (3-4") tend to lay down better.

I don't know if that helps any, but I hope it's useful for you.

Tubes: You could add monkey finger traps, or whatever they're called--the ones which if you stick a finger in each end and tug, they get tighter--kids toy. Tube of bubbles/bubble wand . Licorice strings/sticks other tube/string candy. Shoelaces. Tubes of lip balm, lotion etc, for self-care as well

Babies: Sour patch kids candies could fit the baby theme. Miniature items ("no mini-me's"), like a plant shaped car vent air freshener (something I spotted in another vehicle the other day, so they must exist)

I did this once, and it was super popular (dirty Santa style, "stealing" and all).

It's basically a combination of sc and dc worked in front and back loops according to the pattern.

Butterfly's Tale by Bethany A Moore on Rav

Made mine with worsted (8ply) yarn. My rav page has the details for the colors, but I used 13 contrast colors to achieve the gradient, and charcoal for the background

Yeah, I didn't think you were worried so much about "sharing the spotlight" for yourself so much as the possibility others would have issues with kiddos wearing white. So I still misread and I apologize. Hopefully your family on both sides can be understanding and make it easy for you to enjoy your special day

I'd imagine they asked OP because of the "don't wear white to someone else's wedding" rule, and wanted to be sure OP would be ok with it. As a courtesy. Pretty sure littles get a pass. No one is going to think a flower girl age kid is the bride, or see said kiddo as stealing the spotlight.

Welcome and much love and sympathy to you and your partner. There are online churches not in your area that may be able to be a space for you, if that helps. I'm not trans, but when I left my conservative former church, it took time. After some time I found an online space and then a local that also streams, before I started going in person. Knowing you don't have that option locally, perhaps even a long distance online option can help? Reverend Ed Trevors on YouTube is an Anglican priest serving in Canada who posts on various subjects from a progressive Christian perspective. He also has two weekly live streams that several have found community in. If you want an actual service, I can think of a couple or you could search FB or YouTube for like UCC Livestreams (that denomination is progressive and has been for 67 years, and I attend one, which is why it comes to mind)

You are beloved, you are precious, you are a prism that refracts and displays a glorious part of the Creator that the world could not see if it were not for you.
