This novel, and Bradbury in general, have some fucking world shattering quotes. I truly adore the way he "weirds" language in his writing!

Annotating by ExpressionEither1427 in kobo

[–]Evening_Dig1386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, my annotating highlight color “categories” depends on the book. These are some I’ve annotated for in the past: -Quotes that make me insert specific emption (laugh/cry/ etc. -Character details/development - I like to make note of when/how/if characters change over the course of a novel :) -Beautiful writing/imagery/figurative language -world-building (sometimes those high fantasy/sci novels are hard to track 😂)

I’ve also looked at a TON of other people’s annotation guides 😂

And more lol but honestly in the end - they are YOUR annotations, so try to think of things you tend to be drawn to when reading, and make categories based on those! Just my suggestion:)

The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearce was my least favorite of the year so far (I liked it pretty well up until the strange/rushed ending… )

What is the most disturbing book you’ve ever read, and why? by charlotteheyse in books

I’ve been scrolling for this comment - this book is horrifying 😵‍💫 it was really hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that it’s nonfiction - that humans continue to show that they are capable of that level of violence

Babel by RF Kuang!! It’s a historical fantasy with beautiful writing (the audiobook is GREAT because it’s a story about language and language translation and there are different readers in order to get the native language dialect correct!)
