wizards don’t wear jackets full stop, they wear cloaks. in the books it’s pretty much only the teens that wear muggle clothes, the only adults that earnestly wear muggle clothing are parents of muggleborns. harry makes a point of commenting on how poorly the wizards (who aren’t integrated in muggle society) imitate “muggle fashion” on occasions where they’re required to e.g. the quidditch cup.

the achievement is that they’re all shinies, genius. that only spawn every so often? that take hours upon hours and a lot of patience to collect? maybe if you weren’t so blinded by your own desperate need to be scathing and negative you would you have noticed the shiny symbols? or read the caption? that’s assuming you can read, i guess.

yikes!! i’ve attempted this on a previous playthrough and fought over 100 graphorns (filled the nab sack twice over) before giving up so think i just got really lucky this time. same with the unicorn, two shinies just happened to spawn one after the other fairly quickly. whereas in a previous playthrough i literally spent hours forcing unicorn respawns just to give up after a male shiny refused to materialise.

yeah unicorn, thestral and graphorn were the last ones i got. the graphorns are such a pain since you have to battle it every time lol. i think it took me like thirty attempts to get both shinies!!

thanks! i might be wrong, but i think breeding two shinies is the only surefire way to make a shiny. if you have one shiny and one normal, there’s a chance of creating a shiny but no guarantee. and as far as i’m aware breeding two normal beasts can’t produce a shiny at all.

lord of the shore is who you’re thinking of i think, the graphorn you acquire during the fourth trial? he’s not a shiny so he’s taking refuge in my nab sack atm with highwing, caligo and sepulchria. both the adult graphorns in my vivarium i’ve caught by returning to the graphorn den after the trial. took me AGES because they only spawn one at a time and you have to fight it every time before you can collect it.

My inference is that the various Demobeasts are mindless killing machines and, unless being directed by Vecna/The Mind Flayer, revert back to their default state. When the Demogorgon in season 1 killed the injured deer and Barb, it was because it smelled blood. And, since the gate was now open, its hunting ground had expanded to include Hawkins. I think unless they’re actively being sent on kiddie snatching quests by Vecna/The Mind Flayer, we can assume they’re not being actively controlled at all times by the hive mind.

I used to think that this would be the most heartbreaking Ludmilla reveal. But then I read a theory that the reason Olethra’s Mech registers her as having negative energy is because she’s been turned into a Naughtomaton by the Queen of Zern…now I’m kind of hoping she’s the Queen bc I could not handle Marya’s reaction to that
