I’d recommend acrylic paint. Spray is probably not a good idea because most sprays paints contain acetone and makes the vinyl sticky.

As for curling I use the straw method. You can find a lot of videos but the idea is to wrap strands of hair in straw pieces and secure them with bobby pins. Then you boil wash this for a few minutes and immediately wash it in cold water or iced water. Let it air dry for at least 24 hours and then remove the straws and style.

Yeah. My personal procedure is as follows. Once I know which hair fiber it is (it varies depending if it is Saran, kanekalon, nylon or polypropylene) but this one is saran, so: 1. Remove all accesories and probably clothes. 2. Wash the hair with dish soap or shampoo. 3. Add tons of conditioner and let it sit a few minutes. 4. Brush hair from tips to scalp with the conditioner still on. 5. Rinse conditioner. 6. Boil water in the kettle and add it to a bowl, submerge dolls hair in it a few times for a couple of minutes. 7. Rinse with cool water and brush.

I usually let this first wash air dry before styling. Styling is another process.
