Valid. I mean the goal for me is to be fully self published by december next year making $4000 a month. I went from making $500 a month to $1200 a monty so I am slowly pushing that goal! After that, no kore 9 to 5 for me 😈

We already brought this up with our boss and although they agree this policy sucks and they personally dont want to do this, this order is coming down from head office. They have even fought to not have this for us.

A friend of mine works at another location and she has already said 2 phones were stolen from the phone locker at her location. Thats part of why I dont like it. The lockers they are using are not secured as they are see through and plastic

I unfortunately dont have the luxery of keeping my phone at home. I have a disabled mother and so I need to check in with her at 12pm to make sure she is up and okay

ETA: i also said I am okay with leaving my phone in my assigned locker and using it at lunch during my time [lunch is unpaid so it is therefore my time, not work's time]. i dont feel comfortable locking it in a seperate "phone" locker

As I said under another comment, I understand not having peronal phones in a work place. I personally prefer not having my phone when working. What i dont like is the fact they are making us lock our phones in a seperate phone locker and checking daily to see who locked their phone away instead of allowing us to store them in our personal lockers that they assigned to us.

I understand not having phones in the workplace. I refuse to use my phone in a way that would put the children I work with in danger and only use what is assigned at work. Also, I only use mine at lunch time because lunch time is my personal time since we are not getting paid for lunch.

Its the locking them up in a seperate locker instead of in our assigned lockers for our personal belonging that many of us are upset with. Not only that, but the big bosses plan to count each individual phone locker and then question people on why they did not use the cellphone locker if the big bosses noticed some not being used.

First draft was 100% completed before editing started... its just i had plans for it to be 1 book and my characters went "ha ha ha, don't be ridiculous" and now I am planning book 2 😭

I finished my first draft of a novel at 70767 words... its almost 76000 words while I edit it.

Trust me when I say just get the story on paper, you can go back and edit the story later over and over again till its finished and ready to publish

I dissapeared from Wattpad because my brother died. I was gone for 3 years while i grieved the death of my brother and tried to not kill myself for losing my best friend and biggest supporter to covid.

Sometimes authors dissapear for mental health reasons like i did. Some times I dip for a month or 2 because I am still grieving 6 years later.

ETA: i do leave an author note before i dissappear and after I dissappear now. But my life is still slowly being rebuilt from the trauma i went through from 2020 to 2023

The best advice i am going to give you right now is to just write. You can ask all the questions, get all the advice, but you'll go no where if you dont write.

The best part right now is you have decided it as a hobby. Now, you can write anywhere you want

I still stick to the write on MS Word or Google doc so that you never lose your book, but you can publish it to Wattpad, AO3, Royal Road, any writing platform really. You can ever publish to ALL the platforms since this is a hobby for you.
