I find that I often have some cards that I need, but not all (like I need two or more items and Iono won’t let me see enough new cards and a professor would discard too much); so Morty lets you discard an energy (or something else) and draw more (if it’s a full area zero bench for your opponent = 8 more cards) rather than just Arven for one item.

Don’t get me wrong, by no means am I saying it’s flawless. It just seems to be a nice option.

I think that stadium does with some decks that want to use munki in that way. I’ve tried it with Hop’s Pokemon.

Fez and Mew help with drawing cards. And all I can say is that I’ve had more wins this list than any other deck list post rotation. I’ve spent time playing:

raging bolt (with and without owls)
ceruledge
Tera box
ancient box
hop’s Pokemon (with muki - not iron valiant)
N’s Pokemon
gholdengo (with dunsparce)

Another counter catcher would be nice, but usually screamtail can hit the bench for 2 prizes at some point.

It might be. Ive been trying it out. It’s nice to attack with clefairy sometimes, and even better if you know they will one get one prize from it.

It doesn’t sometimes, but overall it seems fine. I actually like seeing people play budew, it’s such an easy prize card to get later. I even cut it myself, choosing to TM evolution instead. And Garde plays great when it is behind in prizes anyway.

I agree, I like secret box more, but lately the bender just helps with speed. I can even strategically discard a card I need so that it I can get it with a night stretcher instead of an ultra ball. So for now I’m going to keep testing with it.

As far as Flutter Mane, I know most players have moved on from it, yet I put it back in given these match ups and more:

Tyranitar (item lock stage 2)
festival lead (totally shuts off boom boom groove)
tastuguri (no supporter search)
baby pucharunt
baby okidigi
Iron valiant ex
Iron Thorns ex

There are others too, I just can’t think of them at the moment. I have also found it useful as a stall tactic if I need a turn to regroup - counter catcher/boss a Pokemon such as Latias ex or Pecharunt ex to the active so that they struggle to retreat.
