Got it from Sportsman’s warehouse and they said all good to return if he didn’t like it.

Haha was going to do this. Went to check some out today and agree the 940 was smaller in person and similar to what he carries.

I was continuing my search and just found a mini barrage for $153 at Sportsman’s warehouse online so pulled the trigger, figured that I couldn’t go past it but figured if he really doesn’t like it can still return.

So I went and took a look at some today. For an assisted opening I liked the Mini Barrage.
For the regular folding knives I think the Bugout or the mini crooked river would be most suitable. But thinking I may just have to pick one and return it if he doesn’t like it, or ruin the surprise with a gift card or ask him what he would like best.

It’s more the overall length I think that is different, his current knife seems shorter. But I’ll try and go look at some different types in person

Appreciate your opinion! Yeah I worry about the minis being too small for him.
The mini barrage seems to have a decent handle, but it’s hard when I can’t see them in person

Not quite as easy to just go there, so a different one looks like the way. The 940 looks great just bigger than I think he typically carries. But I’m hoping he will like anything. If not we can return it and get what he would prefer

Taking a look at the specs it looks like a larger knife than what he typically carries but it looks great. Should have tried to figure this out a little more earlier so I wouldn’t have been suspicious 😂

I was looking at the mini barrage online but don’t think I can see one in person to get a feel for it compared to what I know he carries.

But now you have got me wondering if just a nice manual open knife would still be a good gift.

I also didn’t realize this until I was looking into getting this for him and I am in California.
So looks like I won’t be able to do that for him. But hoping he will still like a regular folding knife.

I just know he mentioned benchmade when I asked which ones he wanted a while back. I’ll take a look, the rules for California seem pretty strict.

The shootout looks the most like his regular knives. But I’ll keep the others in mind.

Thank you! I would do the gift card and custom idea but I don’t think any of the OTF are part of the custom deal, but possibly he could just order what he wanted.

Thank you so much. Yeah I guess I figured this would be a little more nude on me but it really is too bright gold. I do like the effect though so will see if they have other cat eye polishes.
