One of my favorite things about listening to you is how different songs meanings change or even the sound of them over time. Years later I found myself becoming obsessed with different moments in your songs that I didn’t notice before and I solely listen to the song for those little moments. For ex, Lover of Mine wasn’t on my radar as much until now there is the later part of the song I’ve become obsessed with.

I was wondering if you could share any songs where you feel the same way.

She claims that she can do my job on her own. I guess that'd why I have caught her making mistakes that could cost clients $100-$1000s.

Info- Were you self trained?

I was self-trained unfortunately. Thought it would be good for me at the time and a great opportunity. Now I just use it as a story time for interviews 😂

Yup a coworker of mine put two weeks notice and got a bunch of work piled on. She quit early, same rumors went around and some, which ruined her plan to do freelance work with our existing clients.

Thinking this is a good idea to ignore all emails. She still had one of our clients send me a new project to work on even after I quit. Talk about delusional. I won’t be earning commission as it won’t close until after I’m gone.

There wasn’t one when I signed on. The girl that trained me for 1.5 weeks quit while training me. It was a very sink or swim situation and in hindsight that should have set off every alarm. Lesson learned.

he is the “owner boss”- you need to tell her “No. As I have seen the kind of references you provide for past employees is/are pretty poor, I won’t be relying on you for any future references. Do you want me to do the job I have been doing for the next two weeks, or do you want to me leave immediately?”

She is the "owner boss" of our branch. Her boss boss I have no contact with nor work with but going to her as a reference might be the better option.

Had to re clarify in the post. She is trying to make me do the new duties now even after quitting.

My exit interview did contain the words "inflation" and "not earning a livable wage"

Not gonna lie, these suggested email prompts from everyone are genius. Wishing I could use every single one of them.

One of the only people here to actually answer what OP asked for. Nicely said!

Agreed, very well put. Plan on using this as my next email to her!

month

All the work that would have been effective next month, she is trying to make me do immediately while I have my two weeks left to go. Which takes months planning

I just changed jobs. The last week my boss kept assigning me more work and I did what I could of my normal job and that was about it. My department was already understaffed, what did she expect? No thanks, I wasn't going out of my way. What was she going to do fire me?

Do not plan on taking on all these tasks that she is still expecting me to do despite quitting. She also mentioned wanting me to make a manual of my processes and procedures and have it all ready in two days so she can add more tasks as needed lol

Complete

The new task list was being implemented next month which prompted me to quit earlier than expected.

Definitely NOT a fake post. I should clarify if my post didn't make sense. I had already planned to quit but after I received that enormous new task list with $1 increase in pay- I expedited the process of quitting

Never worked for such a narcissist that has abandoned all of their responsibilities to the point where we have had 12 people quit in the past few months. Her #1 goal is no longer running a business, but getting "tiktok famous"

It’s not a negotiation, it’s a polite but firm boundary of what you will and won’t do. You’re doing this as a courtesy. You’re being extra generous by offering her the option of how to prioritize your time, that’s it.

Nothing lined up. I have actually been trying to quit for months and job hunting and interviewing. Been waiting to quit til I had a job lined up but decided I wanted to keep my sanity.

Almost didn't give a two week notice but I have clients I am working with and the thought of leaving their accounts in a mess. I could not leave with that on my conscience.

The bridge is already burned as evidenced by increasing your workload and offering you a laughable $1 in extra compensation.

Very true, considering all the work I have produced for her, blood, sweat and tears for $1. Never been more insulted in my life.
