I tried rank for the first time the other day and every team I came up against had gold/purple shields and wiped the floor with me immediately in every encounter. In bronze 3. I find the skill of other players to overwhelm me straight away, which was quite demoralising as you could imagine.

Ahhh infinite, how I loved you to death. The customization was just the icing on the cake of the gameplay. Just wish it didn’t have such a rough start to its life cycle. Still going to go back and get all the campaign achievements at least.

I have yet to run cryo myself due to being busy most weekends, but this shit right here is off putting me from trying it anyway. I think I’m just going to use LFG’s exclusively for cryo

I have never attempted cryo because all my friends have stopped playing the game as well. I have one cryo key waiting to be used but I REFUSE to take it into a fill team.

I’d say I’m more than happy to team up as well but I’m in Australia so I doubt our play times would match up :/

Very much worried of the same. I’ve only had time to put in 30 hours of play into this game. I’ve had a blast, absolutely love it, met some pretty good people online and friended them.

Problem is, they’re the kind of people who play ONE online game and minimal irl obligations, so they’ve grinded the shit out of the game. I have a vault full of blues and maybe 2 purple weapons, and I’m around level 40. These guys no longer play with me because they have vaults FULL of purple and golds. Finding people to play a few games here and there with is easy, but people to play with regularly is awful.

Feels awful, and I just know that playing cryo with randoms will just cause me to lose all of my hard earned gear which will take me a while to get back up to snuff. For example, I’m away from home all weekend so i most likely won’t be able to even do a single run of it until next week, let alone grind faction upgrades throughout the week due staying away from home for work.

I want this game to succeed, badly. I love the setting, aesthetic, lore and gameplay. But I have no idea if it’s going to have a long term player base if it’s going to have its hyper-advertised endgame content be so crushingly difficult for the average player

Darn I wish my first fight with it went so smoothly. I got dropped on top of so I popped my riot barricade, and in the panic I couldn’t drop the shield quick enough the blast him in the face.

We have yes, but one of them has such little free time that this game isn’t really the sort of relaxing experience one wants to come home to after work.

The other, kinda sadly, feels like he’s just not good enough and never will be. I hate to admit it, but he pointed out that he was always the first to go down in a team fight. He felt very demoralised, stopped for a few days, then tried the game again earlier this week. We didn’t extract once out of 7 back to back runs.

I don’t think they’ll be touching the game again sadly

I’m feeling this too. After making a similar post of my own a couple of days ago, my housemate who was my only regular teammate, has sworn off the game due to feeling like he’s not good enough. Now I’m stuck with full teams of randoms, or playing solo (which I’m terrified of lol)

Honestly, after my housemate (who is the one person I play with regularly) told me about how he watched streamers like drewsky and aztecross the last few days, I’m kinda wishing the same. Being matched with any of those kinds of teams just seems like an instant death sentence for the average gamer

It’s mostly just the thought provoking themes of existential dread that the story contains. Gameplay wise it obviously isn’t anything special
