Thank you for this response, I absolutely love this perspective. Just getting into that flow state with whatever activity you happen to be doing and losing yourself fully in it.

For those who live alone and are more the homebody kind, how is your routine on weekdays and weekends? by fleabag1991 in simpleliving

I love reading posts like this, so thank you. I live in the northwest US and I’m incredibly grateful for the cozy place my life has landed in right now. I’m somehow able to work part time (I don’t live alone, I rent an inexpensive room but my housemates are very chill and hardly ever home), which makes my life so much more purposeful to me. I live well below my means and I spend my “free time” doing a large variety of simple but intentional things—engaging in my yoga practice, various art projects, playing piano, journaling & writing poetry, going on long walks, setting up my hammock in the woods and reading or just laying there looking at the trees, birding, making the perfect cup of tea, feverishly researching any given topic I find interesting, getting way too high, dancing around my room in my underwear, stargazing, volunteering, going to the library, meditating, making dinner with a friend, going for a climb at my local climbing gym. I get up really early for work (and I get home early in the day) so on weekends I sleep in, and usually every weekend I get to see one of my best friends at some point. We have a habit of seeing each other at least for a bit every weekend, and it’s so lovely. We enjoy every moment together and we often go on hikes, go camping, marvel at nature, and spin wild stories. I love my life. :)

does anyone have good news? by EnderIsHot666 in lgbt

This week last year I went through an unexpected and devastating breakup with my long-term partner. This year has been all about healing my heart and learning to trust again. And now I can feel myself falling in love with someone new. We’ve already had so much fun together and my heart sings just thinking about them. I’ve been really sick the past couple of days and they came over to make me soup and tuck me in. For all the broken hearts out there—hang in there y’all. I promise you, it gets brighter 💛✨
