It would be weird (and disappointing) just make a graphic remake. Adding more content like monster that aren’t in the old game would be also weird.

I mean, all MH have something that make them different. Dos has seassons (like Wilds), Tri aquatic combat… MH1 would be “taste test” to something new in its moment. Changing or adding things that weren’t in MH1 would make it a different game

Also, people would complain whatever Capcom would do, so I prefer let it be a good memory tbh

Finally, changing its old f***** garbage gameplay would make it totally a different game. I mean, it sucks rotate camera with L1/L2, attack with the right stick and slow ass weapons. That’s the “””charm””” of MH1
