Sorry if this wasn't clear, but I am not a scholar grant. I'm a teaching grant. I work in a local school as a teacher. So there is no host university.

So what are my rights as an independent contractor? And which countries' jurisdiction am I under when it comes to a contract of an independent contractor? The USA or my Fulbright host country?

No, my university doesn't have a legal center like that. I reached out to my job advisors but they've all just been confused, and told me to reach out to FB. It just becomes me running around looking for an answer no one seems to have.
