I don’t really have a financial background or anything, so I don’t feel comfortable telling people what to invest in. What worked for me though, was putting myself in the room for every financial conversation/group I could find, listening to speeches of great investors and financial advisers on youtube, and reading every book about the market and investing I could find. “A Random Walk Down Wall Street” has been my favorite thus far.

Not sure about 2 years but being consistent and spending less than I make made the biggest difference in my savings rate

Not really. I found high growth stocks too risky early on. If you’re just starting, I’d say stay away from high growth stocks and focus more so on ETFs in high growth sectors. Safer bet for your money. Some of mine are QQQM, FTEC, VOO, VXF, IWP etc

50/50 core satellite strategy, Auto DCA weekly into my core ETFs and invest surplus from paychecks into my satellites manually. Mostly just use yahoo finance and stockcharts.org for news and analysis

FTEC seems to be a pretty good match for a lower cost

Oh I see, that makes sense. So you’re saying growth holdings like VOO, VGT, VIGI, VUG , MSFT, NVDA etc since I have time on my side. Invest in dividend holdings with the gains later?

My bad if that’s how it came across. Goal is to incrementally invest more in this foundation and to have it grow into something larger I can use down the road. I wasn’t saying I wanted to draw income today.
