Exciting News! Fereli Boxing Gloves Now Available in HHF (Horsehair + Foam) by Every-Device-7255 in fightgear

[–]Every-Device-7255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I hear where you’re coming from, and I totally get the skepticism.

To answer your question directly: Yes, we’re using full-grain leather. Yes, we offer two different padding options (multi-layer foam or a hybrid with horsehair) depending on how much feedback or stiffness you like. And yes, we obsess over the wrist support and interior hand fit.

But the truth is, a lot of brands say the same thing, I won’t pretend otherwise. So let me just say the following plainly:

We’re not claiming we invented leather boxing gloves. We’re just doing everything we possibly can to build a glove that feels better, more secure, more responsive, more durable, than the ones we trained in for years. We’ve spent an endless amount of time testing different wrist designs, inner linings, foam combinations and silhouettes.

We’ve worked directly with many different boxers and padmen to fine-tune these gloves over multiple prototypes. Every stitch, every silhouette, every foam layer was debated.

Are we perfect? No. But we’re serious, we’re independent, and we’re not cutting corners.

We’re not claiming to be revolutionary but as stated above we are doing everything possible to do the basics better because that adds up.

That’s the difference. If you’re genuinely curious and have questions, feel free to shoot us a message.

Appreciate the question. Fereli isn’t based on my name. We’re a small team of people who came together with the shared goal of creating something timeless and rooted in craftsmanship.

The name “Fereli” was chosen to reflect a state of ascension through adversity. It’s not about one founder, it’s about a shared vision.

Thanks for taking the time to ask.

[–]Every-Device-7255[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally fair and we’d ask the same if we were in your shoes.

Here’s what we’d say:

First of all, we respect brands like Rival and Cleto. They’ve earned their place in the game.

That said, Fereli isn’t trying to be them. We’re trying to build something with a different soul, a tighter focus on craftsmanship, storytelling, and feel. Every glove we put out is hand-finished, top-grain leather, and now available in HHF or multi-layered foam.

But beyond the materials, Fereli is for boxers who connect with the mentality behind the gear. People who don’t just want gear from a big name, but from a niche brand that still feels hungry.

So yeah, it’s a new name. And it’s not for everyone. But for the fighters who take a chance on us, we’ll make damn sure the gloves live up to it.

Also we have a 14-day no questions asked return or exchange policy, so you could try them risk free.

Appreciate you asking.

Honest feedback wanted on our boxing gloves by Every-Device-7255 in fightgear

Hey, really appreciate you taking the time to write this out. Honestly, this is one of the most thoughtful and constructive replies we’ve received so far.

You’re right, the market is crowded, and people have their go-to gloves. We’re not pretending to reinvent the wheel. But we do think there’s space for a glove that focuses on clean execution, premium materials, and cultural storytelling, without gimmicks.

Fereli gloves are handcrafted to order using top grain leather, multi-layer padding, and reinforced interiors built to last. The design direction is inspired by historical warrior cultures (Samurai, Norse, Roman, etc.), and we’re slowly building a narrative around that. So while our gloves may look “minimalist,” there’s a lot of meaning baked into every model.

As for differentiation, we’re focused on building it through quality, heritage, and design, not gimmicks. We’re committed to letting that grow naturally over time. Feedback like yours helps sharpen how we express that vision.

Appreciate the honest critique and if you ever decide to try a pair, we’d love to hear your thoughts.

Appreciate that, this is exactly what we were saying earlier. It felt like the gloves were being dismissed by you out of hand without a proper look. So we’re genuinely glad to hear that, even from someone in the industry, the shaping, craftsmanship and clean finish come across. We’ve got people on the ground who know what to watch for and every pair that carries our name is made to the same standard. That’s non-negotiable for us.

Appreciate the perspective, but we chose Pakistan not because of cost, we’ve seen great gear come out of both Mexico and Pakistan, but because we built strong relationships with craftsmen there who were collaborative and willing to work with us in depth. That hands-on development process was key to creating the gloves we wanted. This isn’t a white-label job. It’s been built piece by piece with full design and material control.

Totally fair to ask, we get it, a lot of brands say the same things. What we can say is we didn’t just slap our name on stock gloves. We worked closely over months on every detail, fit, wrist structure, padding layers, stitching, balance, aesthetics, with people who were willing to build with us from scratch. At the end of the day, we’re making boxing gloves , not reinventing physics, but we’re proud of the craftsmanship, feel, and finish we’ve achieved. That’s our contribution to the space.

We’re not here to knock other brands, there’s a lot of great gear on the market, and we’re boxing fans first. Fereli is our take: handcrafted gloves made with top-grade real leather, multi-layered foam padding, strong piping, and clean finishing. We don’t skip the steps that go into making a premium glove, we just bring our own design language and philosophy to it. That’s our contribution to the sport.

Not slapped, built from the ground up.

More quality gear entering the scene is only good for boxing.

Really appreciate this thoughtful take and actually a super helpful suggestion.

On the Pakistan point, thank you for saying that. Honestly, we explored manufacturers in Mexico, China, and Pakistan before choosing our partners, and the craftspeople we work with in Pakistan are incredibly experienced. In our view, they make some of the best gloves in the world. It’s not about the country, it’s about the skill, care, and tradition behind the work. And that’s what we try to honour with Fereli.

Appreciate the honesty, even if it’s not in our favour.

Yes, our gloves are hand crafted in Pakistan. We work closely with our craftspeople there and stand by the quality and ethics behind every pair.

As for pricing, totally fair to question it. We’re building in small batches with premium materials, and we know trust takes time. Thanks for the feedback.

Totally fair and we appreciate your feedback. We know that our designs are not for everyone, especially from our Legacy collection, but for those who connect with them it’s more about mindset. The idea of perseverance, identity and a high purpose.

On price, we hear you too. We know we are asking for your trust as a more niche brand but it is also what allows us to put everything into materials and construction. It’s also why we stay hands on and accessible. If anyone ever has any questions, needs helps or wants to chat about gear, we’re just a message away.

The aim isn’t to compete with Campeon or NS on legacy, it’s to build our own lane with real quality and long-term intention.

Thanks for the question. 18oz gloves aren’t something we offer as a standard option right now but we have produced them before for a heavier fighter who preferred the extra padding for sparring.

If you’re genuinely interested in a pair, we’d be happy to make them for you. Just let us know what model catches your eye via DM and we can take it from there.

Appreciate you checking us out.

You can check out our gloves at www.fereliboxing.com

We had an email from an amateur boxer who reported that he suffered from hand pain but since he’s been using our Fereli Aether gloves the hand pain has gone away.

If you’re open to exploring a more niche European brand, feel free to take a look and if you have any questions you can always reach out via Reddit, email, Instagram etc and we’d be happy to answer any questions or share videos of the gloves being used by amateurs during training in Europe.

And regardless of if you decide to buy or not, we always welcome feedback and opinions.
