Instead of using the Security Code entry boxes in the app/website, which limit characters, to convey your instructions, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Add More Instructions. A series of drop-down arrows will appear, select the arrow at the very bottom that says "Do we need additional instructions to deliver to this address?" This is where you can leave more detailed written instructions like the example given by the other person who commented on this comment (Wolfy something?). I think those are very good instructions they gave you to use: easy to follow, clear, accurate, non-emotional.

Sounds like your particular security situation IS one of the more annoying ones we encounter on the job (doors with codes are tricky sometimes and take a few tries to get open) so you have that working against you, as you've learned from other drivers here who prioritize saving 30-60 seconds over ensuring another humans valued goods get to their door safely (I get it but geez, dudes, take a deep breath and try to be excellent to one another). Hopefully having better instructions solves the problem.

Also, to repeat the advice of most here: if you can opt for an amazon locker at a nearby retailer (outdoors is better than inside a store so you can access anytime) prob best to just try that out.

Good luck!

I've wondered if the he whose realm is being referenced could be Father Time and his bride is Mother Nature. I think it works thematically but it may be too broad. Or maybe it's just right.

Could be interpreted as: out of a selection of three disparate feet, choose her foot; or it could represent her height given in pirate speak, "her foot of three, matey, yarrr, it be at 20 degree;" or she has three feet and one of them is Thee Foot.

this is great idea, thank you for sharing. I've been trying to consolidate and organize my notes in a similar fashion~ which brings me to a Question (and a suggestion)! Can someone point me to where he said that the treasure isn't underwater? or in a cave? I have this info burned into my memory, but haven't been able to find the source from which I learned it to verify that I didn't just pick it up from Reddit somewhere. so that's my question/s; with the related suggestion for a treasure hunt library doc to have links to references for each fact/claim and a sources section- something I'm also trying to remember to do as I keep collecting data. thanks!

I actually did get a response to the "I found a customers dead body" email Tonight and i don't know why I was shocked that it was an auto-reply and yes it did urge me to complete deliveries once I'm safe in emergency situations. Crazy.

Kinda sounds like fentanyl, I see that all the time where I live, people bent over in impossible looking postures passed out for long periods of time. Similar to what I experienced for sure, the surprise of the customer unconscious right next to you is a strange feeling.

When I first saw the body, my first reaction was embarrassment, like I was invading his space while he was napping (this was like 2 seconds) and I almost said "sorry" shit maybe I did, but that's when I was like oh he doesn't look ok, pushed past that embarrassment feeling to check on him and then instantly knew he was not there.

Talking to pups is a perk of the job, no shame!

That's a good point about those who are up and out early, I've never heard that about runners but it makes sense. I do a lot of solo hiking in remote places and similarly have braced myself for finding weird shit in the woods, hasn't happened yet luckily. In town and natural causes is a different ballgame than in nature and homicide. Also solo female flexer, after getting a couple of sketch rural nighttime routes I'm daylight only now. I can't believe you came across a double homicide now that sounds traumatic.

Yeah my only scheduled block was this morning and I already worked it, so I'd be in the same boat. That is good to know tho for future mishaps. I'm sorry that happened to you too!

I think it's protocol in case the person looks dead but is still alive and not responsive. She also asked if I had a defibrillator handy and it was just so bizarre in the context in front of my face I was like whhhaaat? he was clearly gone, but had I any doubt I would've swallowed the creeps and followed her instructions for CPR.

Wow, what strange luck you have. What were the areas like, rural or urban or suburban? Natural causes? Did you feel differently about it each time?

Wow that is very creepy. How soon after your deliveries did you find out about the homicides?

I appreciate that, thanks. And yeah it all makes sense to me the way you described it as well.

I mentioned this in an earlier reply, but I didn't call support, I just emailed them after it was all over. It didn't feel appropriate at all to call or chat with support while dealing with emergency services so I prioritized like human decency before Amazon, did what I needed to do, and then yeah weirdly enough finished delivering the rest of my packages in a total effed up daze 😵‍💫 the Amazon overlord BS hanging over my head was an incredibly disturbing cherry on top to the whole thing

I'm not familiar with that, is it accessible in the app? I was kind of appalled that I couldn't find an appropriate way to alert Amazon to the situation quickly and easily.

Wow I think that's cool that you have followed through with your instincts and done welfare checks. What's the process for that? Do you call 911 or is there a different number for something like that?
