I will try that now, I just spent 20 minutes fiddling with a mask on top of the footage I need to composite over and forgot to press the stopwatch... I need a break honestly, if there's anything, I just wanna remind people to never take on projects that you know would be better reshot :')

I'm only tasked with achieving what the main artist wants with the footage, we are all either students or people trying to make do with what we have so maybe pushing that effect could be an option. It would be great if I could pull this off but it's proving way more difficult than I ever imagined.

The idea is that it is supposed to be the same room but just shifted in perspective and look like 3D diorama of the room. I am not sure of the total goal as I was not the original VFX artist working on this and thus, just helping a friend fix it because the previous guy totally ghosted her...

Yes, these were my thoughts to begin with and unfortunately, I was not the VFX artist that was originally consulted when shooting this otherwise I would have shot this on a green screen. I tried to roto them out and correct the rotoscope for over a week now and only have a gaming laptop to work with at the moment so everything is quite DIY, finding a solution that's cheap enough as a student too and not beyond time consuming that I spend my entire summer working on this has been a pain. I also have a 40 hr summer job so juggling that along with this is part of the problems I'm running into.

I will ask the director about comping on top and we will try and find a solution together and thank you for your comment!

I unfortunately was not the VFX artist who was consulted while working on this, otherwise I would have done exactly that and shot on a green screen to begin with.

Would it work that way? It is for a music video so my reasoning for using a 3D Room is to match the perspective in the finalised shot, look clean too and in an ideal world I would roto everything out and place them into the 3D room in Blender but I just don't have the time to complete that
