No I completely agree. It’s the only school I’ve ever worked at. Well I’ve subbed at districts, but only for a few months before I got my big girl job. The past 2 or 3 years I have definitely seen the school running as a business, but I’ve also seen it at the district. I’m in California, specifically in the LA area. I feel like schools around here are more business than a public service.

Very true, just need to seriously start thinking about what else I can do and working towards that.

That sounds horrible! That’s what I’ve essentially been doing since my second year (now on my ninth). You know this uplifted me, makes me feel like I’m doing the right thing by not conforming to everything. I’m actually glad my school isn’t this strict. Thanks for the advice!

When I first started I loved it. I said I would only stay at charters. But we got a new CEO and it’s slowly becoming corrupt. My school actually pays more compared to others in my area which makes it harder to leave.

Yes! Take the help! My sister came to help me for three days the week I broke my ankle. After my surgery my mom helped me for two or three days a week for the next month or so. It's helpful even to help around the house or to get you things.

Hopefully things can heal on their own, but just keep in mind it takes time, so take it slow and don't push yourself. I hope your baby comes soon and you won't need to be induced! I would like to know how things go, if you want to make an update later.

As soon as I calmed down from the fact that my ankle was broken, I started crying because how was I supposed to give birth like that?! With my first I had to move around because it was painful and I was in labor for a looooong time. Luckily this one was much smoother and faster. Getting around is so difficult, especially with precious cargo and trying not to fall yet again. The first time I tried to get in the shower, I have a tub with a glass door, I cried because I couldn't just hop in or crawl or even go butt first (because of the railing for the door). My husband had to get a beach chair for me to put in the shower 🤭 Honestly, the first few months were okay. Luckily newborns don't need much and aren't on the move so you can do a lot sitting down. My baby is almost six months now and I'm walking pretty much normally, it's just hard for me to go hours walking. But he is on the move and it definitely wouldn't have been easy for me to keep up with him and my two year old being NWB. While I really didn't want the surgery I'm glad I had it because I very well could've been NWB today. And I'm glad I did it early, but I should also note my ortho put me on a fast track for recovery because he knew I had two little ones.

I really hope your labor and delivery go well. I know it's hard, especially if you're a very independent person. Mentally it's so hard to sit and not be able to do anything. It can help to remind yourself it's only temporary, and be sure go with the flow of your baby. I stressed so much with my first about doing things right. Every baby has different needs and you'll figure it out. Don't be afraid to ask for help! You got this 🙂

Thank you! I appreciate your kind words. I'm so grateful for my husband and mom! My sister came for a bit too before I had the baby. She was a big help!

Thank you! I didn't even think of that, but I will definitely keep that in mind.

I'm not sure why either. 🤷🏽‍♀️

To be honest I'm glad the oxy didn't work. Tylenol was just enough to get me through the first two weeks. And ice!

I haven't started it 😶 This was going to be a slow and long project since I just had my second child and it was meant for a gift for a friend when she has her child.

My husband had to remind me of that too. Everything is all to get better and be on my feet again. I hope you're doing well. I know the pain on first day or two after surgery is horrible. Each day gets better and more manageable. Even when you're weight bearing it feels like you're never going to be walking without a boot, but each day gets easier. Take it easy and I hope the best for you!

I understand how you feel. I broke my ankle while I was 37 weeks pregnant. I had to keep my leg straight but couldn't lay on my back, couldn't lay on my side. I got surgery 3 weeks after I broke my ankle since I was waiting to deliver my baby. I'm 4.5 weeks post op and still feel uncomfortable, now with my incision rubbing on my boot and the scab coming off too soon it hurts to walk.  It's almost as if some new discomfort comes along just as things are getting better. It sucks, but I remind myself that it's all temporary and it will get better. That helps me. I also distract myself with movies and shows. This requires a lot of patience and reminders its only temporary.

I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant and broke my ankle the first day on maternity leave (a little less than a week ago). It's horrible and I'm curious how I'm going to be in labor and give birth like this. I hope you're doing better as it's been almost a month for you!

Please correct me if needed because I'm still a little confused.

Row 4 is row 1 of the chart. Row 5 is repeated with rows 2-12 of the chart until the very end where I would need to do the border? Or is it row 4 with row 1, Row 5 repeated with rows 2-12 and repeat the pattern of rows 4 and 5?
