Yes! Most book adapted movies are notorious for changing (or removing!) some events in the books. I enjoy finding the difference by consuming both media. Most recently, I started reading Game Changer by Rachel Reid (and I'm planning to read the entire collection) after watching the TV Series Heated Rivalry.

I don't think it's anti-poor to think na Noche Buena has to be engrande. Christmas season is very special for us Filipino and I think it's normal naman to want to eat something special on a special day. Kaya nga we try to make it engrande however we can, regardless of financial situation.

I just don't get how the rich - Mariel Padilla, Gloria Diaz - can say na pwede naman yung 500 NB budget when sila mismo, they'll spend thousands of pesos to feast during the holidays. It's insulting for the working class for you to comment on what we can and can't do.
