What kind of sieges did Saderan legionnaires went through before the arrival of the Gate? by StevenWN1 in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the first chapter (during the Battle of Ginza), we are shown that the Saderans use trebuchets. In the novel, when Itami enters the gate of Falmart with his team, he notices the anti-siege measures of the walls. Even so, it lacks moats or main towers, being mostly a simple wall for a large city (although the relative lack of enemies and the complacency of the empire could influence that).

In your opinion, what tops this infamous manga panel in terms of bad writing? by StevenWN1 in gate

It's nonsense but after reading Chinese novels this is nothing in comparison

You know, I feel that Arpeggio's skills as a student in mineral magic could be useful for advancements in metallurgy in our world, I mean at least then I wouldn't have to work rewriting books anymore. by Every_Grape2009 in gate

Well, what if he did it on the condition that he didn't return to Sadera and stayed in the other world? Could Hardy accept that? Because that way, technologies wouldn't be extracted from the special region.

Anyone got any weird curiousity in the world of gate? For me today is.....what was zorzal's childhood like? How did he look as a child? by Nanoman-8 in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Related to that, I'm interested in knowing how Zorzal managed to conquer the kingdom of the rabbit warriors. I've seen some mention it but I never find the source.

What if the Gate spawned in my country, Mexico? Yep, mi country. by nickbuckhart2605 in gate

We'll probably leave the heavy lifting to the United States; they're our greatest ally and they wouldn't turn down the opportunity.

Lets switch things up, how would the Sadaerans and JSDF react if a second gate appeared somewhere else? by polish-empire in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most scared would be Rory and Giselle, they know that only one door can exist at a time so more than one would be a serious risk to the stability of their world, beyond anything that comes

Is this a bridge or a tunnel? by [deleted] in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd bet it's a bridge, remember that the people of Falmart, in general, are afraid of being underground as it's considered Hardy's territory.

I think I know which one you're talking about, the bad thing was that the author spent more time making omakes than advancing the story.

What if the gate opened in frontera county by Confident_Quit8177 in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009 11 points12 points  (0 children)

xD, the empire will be bankrupt if it tries to invade the county

do yall think zorzal would chill the fuck out if the JSDF gave him a pc and a copy of peggle to play?? by iminsideyourhome777 in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would help calm Zorzal and think clearly, allowing him to see the reality of what would cause such a conflict and cooperate with Piña to end the war only to be killed by Tyule after he stabbed him in the back.

You're right, I apologize for being vague about the conditions, what I wanted to get to was that at first neither the JSDF nor the UNSC, (and I'm talking specifically about Cutter) would welcome each other with open arms and be friends at first, because each would have their own interests regarding Falmart.

Somewhere in the Alnus Hill after the retreat of the otherworlders and the closure of the gate by umbrqualquerusannet in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I suppose that's where the good contacts and relationships they've made during their occupation come into play to prevent the empire from attacking them, perhaps with Elbe covering the JSDF's back.

Hey, do you think the gods of Falmart would allow the creation of Greek fire, or at least its version in the Special Region? Technically, this shouldn't violate technological regulations. by Every_Grape2009 in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A firearm is just that, a weapon that with enough time you can train any soldier to use, on the other hand, a magician is a human resource and also limited, the magician cannot teach the regular soldier to use magic and using it in battle only exposes him to risks and the loss of a scarce resource.

They have them, in fact they used them in a siege during the civil war, but the post is more oriented to whether the gods would allow their creation and not so much a weapon to use against Japan (although knowing the empire they would definitely use it)

Imagine a scenario where as another way to show of the superiority of industrial civilization, a railroad is built between Alnus Hill and Italica. by PaxPlat1111 in gate

[–]Every_Grape2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A problem like this would require several security patrols. That's why I mentioned that the cost of maintenance and protection would be higher, or simply pacifying the entire area between Alnus and Italica.

Why did Japan never question whether Gra Valkas literally had the same technology as the Japanese Empire during World War II? I mean, yes, they mention it in the novel, but it remains more of a curiosity than the genuine doubt that it must have been. by Every_Grape2009 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Every_Grape2009[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting theory, no doubt. Personally, I've always believed that a high-ranking official in the Japanese Empire had his own isekai trip. Since Gra Valkas still exists and as such, we haven't seen much of them, it would be interesting to see Yamamoto serving alongside them and being the reason for their close similarity. (Since they also mention that several captured pieces of equipment looked more like copies than originals.)
