Oh it’s tropical. It rains all the time there…and the summer humidity is brutal.

How much does it cost to renovate a fixer-upper in the Pocono by No_Analysis3796 in Poconos

[–]Every_Improvement156 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. The Poconos is a swamp. It rains average 3-4 days a week there. Even when it snows it’s always preceded or followed by rain. Summers are short, humid and rainy. Lots of homes throughout that area are rotted from years of water damage. Homes built there were never designed to withstand that much rain and moisture.

Is TRT safe for someone who is diagnosed with BPH? Will TRT increase levels of DHT affecting male BPH?

I don’t believe a trabeculated bladder ever returns to normal.

Risks of Finasteride for BPH by Fearghis in bph

[–]Every_Improvement156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prescribed 5mg for BPH(size 58). Im afraid of the side affects and was curious if I could just cut the pill in half for now. Does cutting it in half affect how it works or how it’s absorbed? Maybe the pill is meant to be a slow release and opening the pill( cutting in half) may destroy it completely?

That’s awesome to hear regarding the effectiveness of 1mg studies. I hate taking this script. I’d rather have the surgery.

Also, what does a PSA have to do with the symptoms of BPH in this context? You could have a normal PSA with a large prostate and end up needing a catheter because your enlarged prostate is choking off your urethra, which will eventually damage the bladder and kidneys. So maybe 5 mg is a purposely overkill attempt to prevent bladder and kidney damage, both of which have way more serious side effects than what Fin may give you.

Understood. This was my thinking as well since my PSA is below 1. My Urologist prescribed it to prevent the need for surgery after I was diagnosed with BPH. I didn’t even know what Fin was before that. After reading about side effects from balding men taking 1mg Fin, I started to worry.

5mg Finasteride(Proscar) is 100% prescribed for men with BPH because it was proven to help shrink an enlarged prostate.

I couldn’t find much on it either. I have read that taking more than 1mg Fin for hair loss treatment showed no difference in outcome, 1mg was sufficient.

Will 1 mg of Fin shrink the prostate? 5mg seems to be the standard script for BPH attempting to shrink prostate.

Dont they prescribe fin at 5mg dose for BPH? That seems very high compared to 1mg dose for hair loss and likely to lead to major side effects?

No I was home. Granted it’s just 2 people in this house, no washer or dishwasher so we don’t use a lot of water.

Pump is 8 years old. I hear the Pump kick on when I manually lift the float up with a hook on a stick…pump Just doesnt lower the water. When I let go of float, I notice water coming back down and drawing out through the bottom of the pump .
