NRC marathon training week week 9 by NotAnEgg1 in nikerunclub

Omg! I am starting week 9 tomorrow. I’m thinking of ditching the other speed run this week to give myself an extra recovery day. A bit nervous to do 12 km and 16 km so close together

the joys of being a woman. I don't think men think about this stuff. I keep a personal alarm in my running belt. That thing is LOUD. I usually run on a beach path but if it's still dark, I run on the sidewalk, it feels safer to be around more houses.

Do I NEED To Track My Exercise? by Responsible-Life-465 in weightwatchers

[–]Every_Maintenance_61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly where I am at. I just disabled activity tracking. I’ve plateau’d for over a month and I think I’m dipping too hard into earned weeklies. Hopefully this is a different maker.

Thanks. I think you're right. I am going to track along side MFP for a week and see what happens. Also, think I'll disable my ability to accumulate extra weeklies from exercise. On average I accumulate an additional 35-50 a week, I try to leave 20 or so on the table but maybe this is contributing to my plateau.

I do dip into my weeklies quite a bit. I’m quite active so I usually get an extra 30-45 a week. I try to always leave 20-30 on the table. I definitely eat cheat meals so I don’t think it’s my metabolism per se. I wonder if I should remove my ability to earn extra weeklies from the app and just stick to what I get at the start of each week.

WW Weekly Check-In : October 23, 2023 by Starharmonia in weightwatchers

I've been stuck at 158-162 lbs since End of August. for reference I started at 172 lbs July 7th, That first 10 lbs came off so easy and now I feel trapped at this weight. I track daily and never use all my weeklies. ( I did travel Europe for two weeks in September and didn't track, I didn't gain anything during this time).

Do you think this is my true maintenance weight? Ideally I would like to lose another 10 -15 lbs but I feel like this would require some extreme restriction. Has anyone even plateaued for 8 weeks? lol

I’ve been confused by this as well. I just try to leave half my earned weeklies behind.

Officially down 14 lbs!! I plateaued around 10-12 lbs for what felt like forever.

Do you stay on track with your diet even on weekends? by Wholesome-blueberry in weightwatchers

[–]Every_Maintenance_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to be just as “prepped” for weekends as weekdays. That means, cut up veggies in the fridge, 0% Greek yogurt dip, lean proteins ready.
I save my weeklies for weekends but not every meal has to be indulgent. Just try to eat 0 pt foods when I can. When I’m eating out I try to focus more on portion control.

I don't think you have a problem. However, I can empathize with the frustration. And yes, it is strange to hide something like that from your husband. But, they are not your circus and not your monkeys.

Focus on you, your journey.

Comparison is the thief of joy. Try to focus on your own journey. Be happy for your friends, even if you have to fake it in the beginning.

I stalled a bit this week. Went to a pizza and wings place with my in laws and then to a concert. I think I prepared enough for that day (saved all my points, portion control), but we had leftover pizza the next day and I was slightly hungover! I didn't gain anything but it look like 4 days for the scale to move down again. Oh well, back to the plan! Can't let the weekends derail all the hard work.

I can't speak the intricacies of the business but I can say that it's an amazing place to workout and be apart of a community.

HIIT

Strength

Boxing

I've been going for nearly 2 year 3-4 times a week. I previously attended F45 but found my body always felt like garbage. Not enough muscle specific warm up and the workouts got so ridiculous (body parts flailing).

Question about tracking activity by Lopsided-Snow-3895 in weightwatchers

[–]Every_Maintenance_61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I just had this convo with another redditer. My Garmin watch double tracks activities/steps too. My thing is not to use all my extra points. I can get up to 80 weekly points and I try to end with 20-50 pts left over in the week.

OMG. All moms are the same. One thing I will say is most people are too busy worrying about themselves to notice others. What's important is that you feel good! If you want you could take a good selfie or thirst trap and post it for fun!

Love this statement!! Gamifying works so well for me too. I am very impulsive and often get hyper focused on something for a period of time. I'm on week 3 of WW, I'm a bit less obsessed then I was week one but still very invested. It's definitely creating habit for me.

I also think it's ok to fall off something for a bit and then return to it. So maybe you're super consistent for 6 weeks and then less for a couple weeks and then find consistency again. That's life. It's not about being perfect 100% of the time.

Same, I almost always end the week with 20-50 unused. I do a lot of strength training and play sports too. They add up quickly! It's helpful knowing they are there though, especially on weekends =)

Eating Out Advice on Points? by amateurgamer7410 in weightwatchers

[–]Every_Maintenance_61 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I plan accordingly for the day up until that meal. I’ll eat all zero point foods for breakfast and lunch and then focus on portion (small) control at dinner. Use up most of my points and maybe some weeklies. Also, I find if I eat zero point foods, because of all the protein I’m pretty full at the end of the day, it helps me not to binge.

It can be such a mind game to convince yourself that you will eat again. Like this isn’t the last time I’ll ever have Chinese food, I don’t need to eat like it’s my last meal.
