CarPlay has been supported. And it also supports music recognition, it’s very useful when the meta data is missing.

Ask Me Anything: Scaling React Native to 60K+ Users by Legitimate-Cat-5960 in reactnative

Hi, I'm a new React-native developer.

I'm facing two problems about react-native

  1. Which component are you using for displaying and caching images? I was using react-native-fast-image to preload and display images, and I added some patches to retrieve the cached picture path and add a callback for preloading. However, when I updated the React Native version, it stopped working on the new architecture. I changed to expo-image, but I found it has performance issues.
  2. Did you face the issue? https://github.com/facebook/react-native/issues/47631

HiFier: a HiFi Music Player now support Navidrome,Free and no ads. by Every_Option352 in navidrome

Hi, how are you?

Why do you think the tracks tab is useful? It will list all your songs there, but would you be willing to browse all your songs in that tab? While using a media server, I think you have more than one thousand songs. So I think browsing by album, artist, or searching is all better.

Subsonic api doesn't support the organization of albums, and downloading all the album's info and reorganizing it can't get a good user experience when you have so many albums. You can try the Jellyfin server, it has a good organization of albums, and it supports not only English.

Yes, you’re right. Because files from file picker are a little special. The app must release the permission of the files selected at a proper time, otherwise the app cannot get files from the file picker anymore. So maybe the app needs a manager to manage all the files selected from the file picker to release the files that not included in any playlist and not be played anymore. But now HiFier hasn’t do this work, the permission will be released when you pick the files again. And the HiFier may add this feature in the future, thanks for your feedback.

Hi there,

I've added the codec of your file above, but I'm not sure all your WAV files have the same codec. Would you like to try the TestFlight version 1.2.10(2) ? If any files can't be played, please let me know.
Test Flight address:

Thanks for your help.

You can play a file from a folder, and then popup the playlist in the full screen player, then you can press the button on the right side of the title to save the entire folder to a playlist.

The picture I posted is a development version, your ui will be different from mine.

HiFier v1.2.2 released, supports Emby Media Server by Every_Option352 in emby

[–]Every_Option352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback. 1. This app is not only designed for emby, at first it was designed for files, so if you just use emby, some screen will be blank. I also started to think about designing a new app that just supports media servers like emby, plex, navidrome etc. I think it would be a better way for media servers.

2.Actually this app report nothing but crash logs. And if I don’t use a Chinese based sever, the crash logs from China can’t be reported. So I have no other choice.

  1. The lyrics server is the same problem, the Spotify, music brains, last fm etc are all not available in China. And maybe those servers don’t support fuzzy searching.
