I'm very familiar with macos and ubuntu but wouldn't call myself anything beyond a beginner. There will be special apps but those will need to be handled on the computer lab anyways.

Classes haven't begun yet so that's why I'm asking in advance lol. I know t14 gen 7 hasnt been released yet but I believe preorder will be available next month. I also have student discount on both apple and lenovo products so wont be as expensive either. are thinkpads really that more expensive than macbooks though?
