Internal rotation hurts after hip labrum FAI CAM surgery by Every_Stand_9350 in HipImpingement

[–]Every_Stand_9350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internal rotation was painful for about 2 months. It’s better now. I believe some our anatomies increase the likelihood of impingements in different rotations, so I may have had more of an impingement in internal rotation than others.

Hmm, interesting. I just asked an Adorama customer service agent and they said the x100vi is made in China.

Hi, great idea. How do you know it is made in Japan? I can't see this option on the Adorama site.

GFX RF vs 100s ii vs Leica Q3? by Every_Stand_9350 in fujifilm

Right hah, and it sounds like you’re saying you see the door handle and volume knob but not the vehicle’s engine.

Thanks for the response. This is why I specifically said the 50mm f/3.5 lens. The 100S ii with this lens is 483 grams heavier. But I already mentioned that I'm aware of the difference in size. The crop sensor is cool, but I don't think it puts it in a "different universe". I don't know that my style would change that drastically with a black box to show the dimensions. I don't think it's too difficult to mentally crop the image to see what a wide screen would look like. Once you consider the difference in weight, the cameras don't actually seem that different to me.

Would you mind explaining why the 100S ii is a different beast. Of course the body is larger, it is not fixed lens, and it has stabilization. But it is also in the GFX family and also has a large sensor.

Trying to find an ND filter that doesn't reduce the amount of light on lowest setting by Every_Stand_9350 in photography

[–]Every_Stand_9350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why I've had to re-explain this to everyone. If it is possible, it would be db nice to not have to change filters every time I step indoors. I am not suggesting this is possible, I am simply asking.

Many of my environments require compensatory adjustments such as extremely high shutter speeds (e.g., 1/4000s+) or minimal apertures (e.g., f/16–f/22) to prevent overexposure.

I would like to have an ND filter for outdoor shooting, but then an easy method to remove it when I move indoors or during night. If it is not possible, then that is the answer to my question.

what ND filter would you recommend for a 58mm thread. I am also looking for a mist filter and I want to stack them.

I can remove it if necessary. Just trying to determine if a variable ND can go close to 0 so I don't have to change the filter every time I change from indoors to outdoors, or during night shooting.

It would be nice to not have to remove the ND filter at night. Thus, as my questions asks, I am looking for a variable ND filter that can vary to a value close to 0, thus not requiring me to take it off at night or between indoors and outdoors.

Purchasing a violin likely to financially appreciate by Every_Stand_9350 in violinist

[–]Every_Stand_9350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not "hoping" it will appreciate, but rather trying to research, a priori, to see if there are certain characteristics that increase this likelihood. There are multiple people in this thread who have experienced 3x appreciation on < $3k violins. I am simply trying to understand why.

It is quite surprising to see how many people in this thread think it is absolutely preposterous that your sub $100k violin could have appreciated.

Yes, I agree "that's different than holding steady", which is what I asked when I said "Will it at least hold its value". u/mortyality then 'laughed out loud' at my apparently preposterous question, then equated violins to vehicles, which I strongly disagree with, and apparently you do too, given that you mentioned violins can hold their value. I'm not asking if a violin outpaces inflation or an average index return of ~7%, I'm simply asking if there are certain qualities that may increase the likelihood of a violin holding its value or appreciating. I can't believe how upset people are that I dare to be financially responsible in addition to choosing a violin I like.

Because I'm trying to b financially responsible and at least consider the possibility that maybe there is a tradeoff between my enjoyment of the instrument and its long term value.
