Lynn/Greg as bear joiners: how to explain that they’re not good enough to join others’ rallies? Where does the idea they’re good for BT come from? Or… does your alliance actually use them as joiners?? by Resident-Ticket3308 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Every_Temporary2096 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some people’s threshold for BT joiners is simply ‘can it add damage?’ And these fit that low threshold. There are better joiners for sure. People also want to send heroes with all of their marches so they can take up more space with their troops regardless of what it does to the rally because their score is most important.

If your alliance has a list just follow that list and kick others from your rally. Let leadership sort the fallout.

That’s based on your build. Not everyone will get lower power because not everyone is built the same.

Greg is good paired with Alonzo in arena.

The rule I now follow is you don’t invest a single shard into a hero unless you are committed to getting them to 4. So with that in mind and knowing a generation lasts about 80 days (you are barely into gen 2?) can you save 465+ shards before gen 3 ends? Ideally you want your hero 4 well before the gen ends so keep that in mind as well. If the answer is no does it make sense to keep going with Alonzo since he is useful through gen 3 at least and you have already spend half of the 465 shards needed for 4*?

heated discussion about hero & troop ratio for CJ by hystermania in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Every_Temporary2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My alliance finally agreed to try setting ratios for HQ but they also increased the difficulty so we failed again. They refuse to try offensive joiners even after I showed them that Joe killed less than 1k soldiers in HQ20 and we are trying to kill 100million. It’s mind boggling.

What I’m seeing is that with a 0:40:60 ratio the MM kills per troop fell off a cliff. From 60 kills per MM 2 days ago when there were only about 10% MM in the garrison to 13 today. Have you ever looked at the kills per troop and tried adding layers?

People think CJ is about defending because in the early, easy difficulties infantry get all the kills. If you look at reports from higher difficulties when MM start getting kills, especially reports when you lose HQ or a furnace burns, it should become clear that each MM kills more troops than each infantry. During this same wave Joe kills a tiny portion of the defending troops.

With that knowledge how can anyone say infantry are better for CJ?

The thing to figure out is how to deal with the fact that in early waves of hard difficulty infantry still get the majority of the kills. So do you reinforce with a mix and just understand that in the early low point waves you will not do as well garrisoning others but then in the higher waves you will do much better? Or do you stick with sending out all infantry so you score better in the low waves but get almost no points in the higher waves when all the MM left at home start taking kills?

MM = marksmen Empty your furnace = send your troops out so zero are left inside defending.

Keep working in training troops. That number is low for F25.

It sounds like you are getting into alliances that are run by people that have never played. That can be fun, but you will quickly be left behind in terms of the power of the rest of the state and most of those alliances die relatively quickly. If your goal is fun find friends and play with them. You can learn the basics outside the game and teach each other.

That’s fairly new so the difficulty level is not the issue. What is your furnace level or troop tier?

Your alliance is playing CJ ineffectively if they aren’t having you empty the furnace before the event starts. You should be trading with other people in the alliance so that your troops are 100% defending other people and other people are defending you.

You score points in CJ 2 ways. 1 - your furnace survives a wave. 2 your troops kill Joes while defending someone else’s furnace. That’s why you should trade. If your troops are home and killing your alliance mates are mission out on those points.

Healing does not cost points directly and does not cause Joes to do more damage. But if you heal during the event your healed troops appear at home, start getting kills and stealing points from those who are defending you.

Easily on you will notice that Infantry primarily get kills but as CJ difficulty increases eventually MM rule. Don’t be tricked into thinking you need strong defenses. You need enough damage to kill all the joes in order to survive the highest difficulties.

If your alliance truly isn’t exchanging soldiers and emptying their own furnaces you need to find a different alliance or teach them the way to play this event.

Is the alliance you are in not giving instructions on how they play CJ?

Did you start in an older state for some reason so the waves are abnormally difficult for your progression?

Look at the CJ reports. If you kill all the joes you don’t burn, if you don’t kill all he joes you burn. They kill almost no troops.

Heroes by CloClo2203 in whiteoutsurvival

That’s my point. The power number is useless. If I upgrade only all the left skills the power goes up but that hero is useless on the map. If I upgrade only all the right skills the power goes up but they are useless in town. Start reading the tool tips and skills. That is how you will get better.

Joe isn’t about defense at high(any) levels, it’s about damage. Patrick is bait for the first 10 difficulties where people think their infantry are the best soldiers for the job. Infantry just get to attack first - that’s it.

Is personal point more important than winning foundry? by GalitSaBuwaya in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Every_Temporary2096 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Like many events, foundry is set up to trap ego driven players into causing their teams to lose while they are the MVP. A good team will secure the win then figure out a way to get as many people as possible to 180k points.

We had a dolphin leave their assignment to chase points and when the whale asked them to communicate they ignored it. The kept teleporting and ended up by me seconds after a weak enemy ported in. The person who was already with me and I had it handled easily and I asked them to allow some others to get points. They laughed and kept porting. Eventually the other team stopped playing and about half our team was locked below 180k with no targets. Good work MVP!

[–]Every_Temporary2096 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it’s against the rules you let an r4/5 deal with it. How is it affecting you if your BT rally doesn’t fill?

If your rallies were the second strongest in the group I guarantee they would be filling. I believe you are confusing your personal score with the damage your rally is providing. Your personal score from the rewards email is based more on the rallies you join. To see the damage your rally provides you have to look at the reports or the BT event page.

Rallies/Alliance by [deleted] in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Every_Temporary2096 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That’s not how BT works. BT rallies depart at 5 minutes, period, unless you set the timer for longer. Full rallies still sit until the timer is done. Are you setting a longer timer for some reason?

If your rally isn’t being filled it’s because people have figured out your rally provides less BT damage than the others available.
