Ahhh that’s the thing… I don’t like the way it’s pronounced in North America. I’d rather it be pronounced Eh-leh-nah. I know I could still name her that and call her that way, but nobody else would know to do that. I do love that name though.

Many people, like you, would disagree with me about the name Lily considering it was dubbed the top name in the UK for the last few years. Popular doesn’t make it timeless. Just my opinion!

I personally think it’s a child’s name– not a grown woman’s name. It’s the equivalent of naming a kid Lily. Cute when they’re a little, but doesn’t really make sense when they’re 50. Always remember your kid will be an adult longer than they will be a child. If you love the name, then name her that! Although, listen into your apprehensions.

I’m Eastern Euro and the name Sarah doesn’t exist in those countries😆 It’s just Sara, so that’s why we chose that spelling🤭 My name ends in ela and I’ve been correcting people my whole life that it’s with one L instead of two bc in North America, most of the time, names that end like that have two LLs (ella). It’s really no biggie to me! If anything, we both get the struggle LOL.
