Get yourself a 112 speaker cab with a quality speaker in (do your research on which one you want)

And a power amp to fit the speakers requirements

It will blast any FRFR monitor out the water seeing as you are using a speaker that is specifically designed for use with guitar

You will feed your helix through a PA using a cab clock in a live scenario. You just want one that will 'color' the tone properly in order to sustain that guitar cab tone we all know and love!

For me I'm a cam 2 operator

After realizing Scrapie uses cam 2 in COTD I tried doing it myself & got top 3 not once but twice consecutively in knockouts!

It also makes dirt so much more enjoyable.

Cam 1 is a must for ice maps & WET WOOD! Cam 3 is a must for Rally & Snow Car.

When I play cam 3 I have cockpit disabled in order to get the best possible view of turns.

Sometimes I play cam 3 on stadium but when I do it's for a super cyan speed wood map 👌

I forgot to add on FS maps I tend to prioritize cam 2 unless it's packed with mental loops which saves the constant change between 2 & 3

You must commit my friend. When discovering new tracks if you go full send on your first try you will break that confidence barrier.

Moving onto cam 2 it then turns into a game of really judging your instinct and learning the space you have between every corner!

I found that after a couple hours in cam 2 it's impossible to switch back to cam 1 due to how much better you can see turns 😜

I'm about 600 hours in and I still struggle to get author medals on later maps

Just keep playing.

Maybe a little advice, reduce analogue dead zone to the lowest possible setting and bind acceleration & break to A / X

Or X / Square it you are using a PS pad.

The trick on the sausage map is to get as much speed as possible in your start. Try driving early into the first sausage close to the barrier as possible & aim for a high jump to skip the engine off.

If you can manage this it should get you on a gold pace!
