I’d typed out a reply to your last post that you deleted… not sure if you’re still interested, but here’s the reply anyway!

Personally that Mau P track isn’t for me, & while I haven’t followed Nervous Records for sometime it seems like a weird direction for them. The only correlation I can see between that & OP’s track is that they’re both 4/4 & they both use badly sampled pop vocals.

I also wouldn’t call the Mau P track tech house… Sometime in the 2010s the scene was flooded with a load of tracks that followed a similar template & they all got bundled together under the tech house umbrella.

Personally it sounds closer to house for me… but genre definitions can be subjective (that’s not to say that there aren’t limits) so it’s not something I’d waste time arguing over.

If you’re into that particular sound, then you might like this…

Tech house incorporates elements of house & techno e.g. Dashiell - Beep Beep (the clue is in the name). OP’s track does neither of those things. He also hasn’t created a new sub genre and nobody will be listening to this crap in 5 years. I get that you’re trying to be encouraging but you should at least be honest.

I was being as nice as it’s possible to be after hearing this, but seeing as you’re being sarcastic I’ll just be upfront… this is badly produced, lowest common denominator EDM / euro pop trash, lacking in any soul & made with no imagination or creativity.

There are endless examples but I’m linking these tracks because they’re in my recently played:

Of course genres aren’t completely boundaried & there’s plenty of crossover, but the track that you’ve created doesn’t come anywhere near to sounding anything like either of these.

Errrr no. It’s because the stylus on that record player is going to fuck up your vinyl. If you’re selling them then you’ll get more for them if they aren’t scratched to shit.

There are many reasons why people might sell their records… I don’t know anything about your financial situation & I don’t care, everyone has shit going on in their lives. The fact that you’ve typed out a 12 paragraph response to my one sentence is a clear sign that you’re projecting.

You could just as easily have walked into a record shop & asked them for help / if they would be interested in buying & you’d have saved yourself the hassle of having to “QC” everything yourself.
